The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) announced Thursday it made CA$27,301,476 in fourth quarter (Jan. 1, 2025, to March 31, 2025) gaming revenue installment payments to 29 Ontario communities that host land-based gaming facilities.

That’s a decrease from the CA$33,502,228 paid out in Q3.

Host gaming communities are made stronger through OLG’s Municipality Contribution Agreement payments as these revenues support local programs and infrastructure,” Ontario Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Gaming Stan Cho. “Gaming sites continue to provide good local jobs and other positive economic impacts across the province.”

The payments are based on a graduated scale of slot machine revenue, and a share of table game revenue and sportsbook revenue for those sites that offer those services.

Under the agreement, municipalities receive 5.25% on the first $65 million of slot revenue, 3% on the next $135 million of slot revenue, 2.5% on the next $300 million of slot revenue, 5% on the slot revenue above $500 million, and 4% of table game revenue (if applicable), and 4% of sportsbook revenue (if applicable).

The revenues help support local programs and critical infrastructure, as well as job creation. Since 1994, host communities have received more than $2.5 billion in nontax gaming revenue.

The total payouts to municipalities during the FY 2025 was $142,468,008.

The municipality hosting Casino Woodbine was the biggest recipient in Q4, receiving $4,038,859.
