Making its West Coast debut is the restaurant that made Brooklyn cheesecake famous. Junior’s is coming this fall to Resorts World. The 300-seat venue will bring its full-service breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night menu — and, of course, its legendary dessert — with it.

Alan Rosen, representing the third generation of his family to own Junior’s, said his grandfather “absolutely enjoyed coming to Vegas whenever he could, so I know he’d be thrilled that we are opening a location in the city he loved almost as much as New York.”

Harry Rosen opened the original Junior’s in Brooklyn on Election Day in 1950.

2 Dishes from 2 Chainz

Grammy-winning rapper 2 Chainz will bring two of the most popular menu items from his Southern restaurant, Esco Restaurant and Tapas, to the Strip as part of Pepsi Dig, an annual residency spotlighting six of the country’s most popular Black-owned establishments.

From September 30 through October 27, 2-Chainz’ blackened salmon alfredo and an original cocktail creation will be available at Libertine Social at Mandalay Bay and Public House at Luxor.

Dining Ins and Outs

In addition to the dining options we previously reported, the Fontainebleau Las Vegas will open on December 13 with El Bagel, a brand that’s Miami-born to match most of the new casino resort’s other dining and nightlife offerings.

Windy City staple Portillo’s has announced it’s looking for a Vegas location “as part of its long-term plan to scale the brand and open new locations across the country,” according to a news release. The hot dog and burger chain, which started in Chicago in 1965, has 77 locations in 10 states, but wants 84 by year’s end.

16 Rooftop Bar on the M Resort’s 16th floor will morph into Jayde@16 as of October 5, with a menu featuring Asian dishes and craft cocktails.

A month after Circus Circus got a Del Taco, the Excalibur is also getting one.
