Polymarket fees, limits and payouts
The price of a given contract is only part of the total cost you’ll pay when using Polymarket. Fees can be charged on a per-market basis, but they are applied at Polymarket’s discretion and at different rates. While fees are frustrating, they are present on most prediction market platforms. These fees are often present when you claim sign-up offers, like the OG.com bonus. There isn’t a set fee on Polymarket transactions. I traded more than 10 contracts during my time reviewing the app, and the fees varied from nonexistent to small portions of my total contract price. For example, in last year's NFL playoffs, I bought $5.13 worth of contracts on the Chicago Bears to beat the LA Rams in a playoff game, and the fee was $0.01. Next, I bought $4.10 worth of contracts on New England to defeat the Houston Texans, and there were no fees levied."When you buy a contract, you can click the small circle with an “i” in it next to the price. This will make a pop-up appear showing your pricing data and any fees charged."
Liquidity and exits
You can hold your contract until the game or event resolves and either collect your winnings or take the loss. However, since this is trading, not betting, you can also sell before settlement to lock in a profit or limit your downside. Whether that’s possible depends on the market’s liquidity, meaning other users must be willing to trade for your contracts.Expect headline markets to have more liquidity than niche sports or small-market predictions. The lower the liquidity, the more trouble you'll have exiting positions early. I sold roughly half of my contracts before they settled at Polymarket and had no problem finding buyers. That may change as the platform adds more markets, but for now liquidity felt solid.Payment methods on Polymarket

How cashing out works
While other prediction markets make withdrawals a bit scary with their attached terms, Polymarket kept things easy in my experience. From the account page, I tapped “Withdraw.” Polymarket showed me how much I had available to withdraw and a keypad to type my withdrawal amount. From there, I could select debit card or bank transfer as my preferred method to receive payment. The daily limit for both methods is $50,000."I didn’t encounter any security holds, long wait windows, or other obstacles. As of now, Polymarket withdrawals are a breeze. Of course, stricter terms and controls may arrive when Polymarket does a full-fledged US launch, so stay tuned."
What is Polymarket, how does it work, and is it legal?
Polymarket is a prediction market app where users trade event contracts tied to real-world outcomes, such as whether a team will win a game. Most markets are structured as a Yes or No question, with prices typically trading between $0.00 and $1.00. In general terms, the price reflects what traders believe the outcome is worth at that moment, and it is often interpreted as an implied probability (for example, $0.65 is roughly a 65% implied chance). How does Polymarket work?
You buy Yes or No contracts at the current market price. When the event is resolved, the winning side settles at $1.00 per share, and the losing side settles at $0.00 per share. Your profit or loss depends on the price you paid and whether your position ultimately settles as the winner.Because this is trading rather than a one-time wager, you can often choose to:- Hold your position until settlement and take the final payout
- Exit early by selling your position before settlement
"Every market includes written settlement rules that specify the deadline, the resolution source, and how edge cases are handled. Polymarket also describes a structured resolution process that can allow disputes during a defined window. Practically, this means the market rules and resolution source can be just as important as the headline question, so read them before trading."

Polymarket app review
Polymarket iOS vs Android app
The Polymarket app is available on both Apple and Android devices. The iOS app has a 4.6/5 rating with 53K+ ratings. Conversely, the Android app only has a 2.5/5 rating with 9,500+ ratings. That's a significant contrast and shows that the iOS app is much more popular among users. However, the Android app's rating has improved significantly over the past month.Polymarket app design and improvements
Polymarket’s app design is clean, fast, and purpose-built for trading. What stands out most is the app's real-time pricing and liquidity display. This makes it easy for users to assess market sentiment and make decisions. The app is also easy to navigate, with visible tabs for each important section. Polymarket consistently rolls out new updates, ensuring its app stays up to date. Recent updates have focused on optimizing the user experience by improving load times, making updates to notifications, and displaying better pricing data."Swiping up is also the way to get back to the home screen on an iPhone, so I frequently exited the app while trying to snag a contract. I hope Polymarket changes this function in the future. If you're looking for Polymarket alternatives with a strong mobile app, there are several options available."

Strategies for profitable trading on Polymarket
Prediction markets reward sharp thinking and disciplined research. Here are some core strategies to help you gain an edge.
- Find mispriced markets: Look for markets where the market probability differs from your well-researched estimate. Early markets and low-volume events tend to have the widest inefficiencies.
- Specialise in a niche: Since you're competing against the crowd, it's hard to be profitable as a general trader. However, if you trade on topics you have special knowledge of, you might be able to find market inefficiencies.
- Calibrate your confidence: Assign honest probabilities rather than trading based on hunches. Overconfidence is the most common profit killer. Tracking your predictions over time can help you assess your performance and make adjustments.
- Trade on new information fast: Markets can update fast after breaking news. If you're monitoring events closely, acting before the crowd reacts is often profitable.
- Manage emotional bias: Avoid trading on outcomes you're emotionally invested in if you struggle to dismiss your emotional biases. Treat every position as a probability question, not a rooting interest.
"No strategy eliminates risk. Profitable trading on Polymarket comes from being consistent, but not every trade will be a success. Use our exclusive Polymarket invite code to start with bonus funds while you refine your approach."
Responsible trading at Polymarket
While they aren't traditional gambling, prediction markets still involve risk. Remember to follow responsible online gambling practices when you use our Polymarket code.
