We told you it would happen nearly a year ago, and now it’s official. The Eagles will perform at the Sphere in Las Vegas.

The reunited SoCal-formed rock band on Thursday announced eight shows at the $2 billion venue, from September 20 through October 19.

The Sphere residency ostensibly comes as part of the Eagles’ “Long Goodbye,” which launched in September, seven years after the death of co-founder Glenn Frey.

The Eagles will become the fourth act to play Sphere following U2, which opened the spherical concert venue last year, Phish, and Dead & Company, whose 30-show residency ends in August.

The Eagles, who are managed by Sphere consultant Irving Azoff, owner James Dolan’s initial partner in the venue, said they will add more shows as demanded.

Tickets for the first shows (September 20-21, September 27-28, October 11-12, and October 18-19) start at $175 and are set to go on sale June 21 via  eagles.com.

Registration for the band’s presale, beginning at 1 p.m. ET June 18, is available now via the same website. A Live Nation presale starts at 1 p.m. ET June 20. A limited number of VIP packages will also go on sale at 1 p.m. ET June 18 on the band’s website.

It’s Not Unusual to Throw Panties Again

Tom Jones will restake his claim on the Strip via two shows at the Wynn’s Encore Theater on September 28-29.

The former Welsh pop icon, who turned 84 last week, debuted on the Strip at the Flamingo in 1967.

In the ’70s, he became a mainstay at the International (today’s Westgate), where he befriended Elvis Presley.

And in the ’80s, he performed regularly at the MGM Grand in the theater that was renamed for David Copperfield.

Jones last performed at the Wynn in October 2022, but had gone missing from the Strip for 12 years before that.

Ticket information is forthcoming next week, along with the official announcement.
