VEGAS MUSIC ROUNDUP: Gaga Sets Vegas Return Dates, Eagles’ Sphere Residency a Done Deal

Lady Gaga’s “Jazz + Piano” residency, which we told you last month would return to the Park MGM‘s Dolby Live theater, now has official dates: June 19, 20, 27, 29, and 30; and July 3, 5, and 6.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, March 23 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.com.

Gaga last performed her stripped-down tribute to the Great American Songbook on October 5. Her other Vegas residency, the full-on pop production known as “Enigma,” was last staged on Nov. 9, 2019, and remains mothballed for the foreseeable future.

Eagles’ Landing at Sphere

An Eagles residency at the Sphere, which we told you was still being negotiated last August, is now a done deal. This is according to the New York Post, which has a reliable source inside the MSG/Sphere organization.

This residency will take place over 10 weekends from September through December, after Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit wrap up their “Long Goodbye” world tour.

According to the same Post story, Dead & Company, featuring guitar superstar John Mayer jamming with Grateful Dead Survivors Bob Weir and Mickey Hart, have extended their Sphere residency.

Originally set for various weekends from May 16 through July 13, according to the tabloid, it will now include 10 more dates, taking it through the end of August. The dates haven’t yet officially been announced.

Adele Update

Those 10 “Weekends with Adele” concerts in March that were postponed last month due to a mysterious illness have yet to be rescheduled despite earlier promises from Adele to do so “ASAP.” Adele’s residency at Caesars Palace is still set to resume on May 17 and run through June 15.

The 35-year-old superstar is also due to perform 10 tour gigs in Munich in August, but European tabloids are reporting that these dates have failed to sell out, both due to their unusually high cost  (for Europe) and because fans are reluctant to commit for fear that these shows may also be canceled.

And Finally …

New Edition has extended its Wynn Las Vegas residency, adding October 30, November 1, and November 2 to its calendar. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.

And the Gin Blossoms will play the Westgate on July 6. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster.
