Pro skateboarder Neen Williams and chef Phillip Frankland Lee (he of the Michelin-starred Scratch Restaurants Group) will open a three-month pop-up at Resorts World on July 10.

NADC Burger — which has brick-and-mortar locations in New York, Chicago, Denver, Austin, Fort Worth, and Dallas — will serve its signature two patties of 100% Wagyu beef, a Wagyu beef cheeseburger, and a Vegas-exclusive Breakfast Burger with bacon and a fried egg (all with beef tallow fries).

The initials stand for Not a Damn Chance, which is the name of Williams’ spice rub company.

The concept is headed for the Sun’s Out Buns Out pop-up space next to the Conrad lobby — the same location it spent a week in June 2024 — where it will be open 24/7.

“Coming back to Las Vegas with NADC Burger feels like a full-circle moment,” Lee said in a statement. “I grew up visiting Vegas with my parents and always dreamed of opening a restaurant in a casino. To see that dream begin to take shape — starting with a pop-up at a premier Strip destination like Resorts World — is a milestone moment.”

Fired Chef Wins Case Against Resorts World

Chef Brian Satake was illegally fired from Resorts World, claims the National Labor Relations Board. This photo, posted to his Facebook account in 2020, is unrelated. (Image: Facebook)

Not all the restaurant news Resorts World made this week was good. On Wednesday, a National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) judge ruled that RW illegally fired master cook Brian Satake in April 2023 for reporting health code violations.

Resorts World claimed Satake was terminated for placing bacon in a cardboard box instead of a metal pan, which it claimed violated health and safety rules. Satake denied responsibility for the action and claimed he was fired for filing multiple complaints about kitchen conditions, including potential health code violations, in March 2023.

The NLRB judge sided with Satake, finding the casino resort’s justification questionable after hearing testimony from his co-workers.

Resorts World was ordered to stop unfair labor practices, reinstate Satake to his previous or an equivalent role, and compensate him for lost earnings, benefits, job search expenses, and tax losses from lump sum back pay.

Dining Ins & Outs

EDO Tapas & Wine, known for its tiny plates of savory dishes, will serve its final meals in September 2025. The restaurant was opened in Chinatown in 2018 by Roberto Liendo and James Beard-nominated chef Oscar Amador, the latter of whom will reimagine a concept for the space. The two also partner in Anima by EDO and Braseria.

District One Kitchen & Bar, the Vietnamese fusion spot that opened in 2014 in Chinatown, will close starting July 7 for a six-to-eight-week transformation into an as-yet-unannounced new concept from owner-chef Khai Vu.
