Oprah Winfrey will headline the Las Vegas Sphere with a new immersive experience designed to merge storytelling, music, and multisensory spectacle. “Oprah Winfrey’s AHA” will debut at the Sphere for a limited three‑night run April 2-4, 2027, marking one of the venue’s most ambitious non‑residency productions to date.

The project grew out of Winfrey’s reaction to U2’s opening‑night performance at the Sphere in September 2023, where she found herself captivated by the venue’s capabilities. As she explained in the event’s announcement: “‘AHA’ is a dream that came to me as I sat… mesmerized by the possibilities of how the space could be used as a tool for creating greater awareness and understanding of ourselves and our connection to each other.”

That spark evolved into a two‑hour program blending live performance, original music, and large‑scale visual design. Organizers describe the event as a “journey of light, sound, music and storytelling,” designed to guide audiences toward what Winfrey calls an “A‑ha moment.”

Sphere’s signature technology will be central to the experience. The venue’s unpeered wraparound LED display and sonic technology will envelop audiences in a fully immersive visual and audio environment.

Winfrey, 72, frames the project as part of a final creative decade driven by urgency, purpose, and the desire to help audiences “see themselves differently.”

“Creating this experience has felt like the culmination of what I’ve spoken about and worked towards my entire life,” she said in the announcement.

What’s Under the Dome

Winfrey will appear live on stage throughout the two-hour shows, joined by a roster of collaborators spanning multiple disciplines. Seven‑time Grammy winner Jacob Collier, acclaimed poet and novelist Ocean Vuong, musician Ajeet, and gospel singer Wintley Phipps are among the featured performers.

The musical direction will be led by Oscar‑nominated composer Max Richter, Grammy‑winning vocal director Jason White, and electronic artist Jon Hopkins, each contributing original compositions tailored to the Sphere’s audio system.

The writing team is equally heavyweight. Tarell Alvin McCraney—Oscar-winner for Moonlight and current artistic director of the Geffen Playhouse—is crafting the narrative framework. Visual contributions come from Es Devlin, known for designing Beyoncé’s “Formation” and “Renaissance” tours, along with original works from the Plum Village Monks. Director Ethan Tobman and Emmy‑winning producer Baz Halpin of Silent House Group are overseeing the production.

Tickets start at $145, with general on‑sale beginning 10 a.m. Sept. 25 via this link, where you can also sign up for presales and weekend packages.
