Caesars Entertainment and the Rampart Casino announced a partnership on Monday under which a Caesars Sportsbook will come to the Summerlin, Nev. gaming venue.

It’s the first example of a Caesars-branded brick-and-mortar sportsbook appearing in a casino hotel that primarily caters to Las Vegas locals. Customers will also be able to fund and sign up for Caesars mobile betting accounts at the Rampart sportsbook when it opens.

For the first time at a physical sportsbook location in Summerlin, sports fans will be able to complete in-person registration for the Caesars Sportsbook mobile app. Guests will also be able to make convenient mobile cash deposits and withdrawals,” according to a statement.

Rampart’s current retail race and sportsbook is located near the casino floor and occupies nearly 6,000 square feet. It also features five self-service kiosks. The number of kiosks will quadruple when the venue takes on the Caesars name.

With Caesars, Summerlin Sportsbook Competition Heats Up

In the Las Vegas suburb of Summerlin, the three traditional casino hotels are Rampart, Boyd Gaming’s Suncoast, and Red Rock’s namesake property. Red Rock’s Durango Casino & Resort in Southwest Las Vegas is also a short drive from the town.

That’s to say the retail sportsbook competition in the town is heating up. Both Red Rock and Durango are known for having appealing sports wagering venues, particularly among Las Vegas locals’ casino hotels, and Boyd recently completed a refresh of Suncoast’s sportsbook.

By partnering with Caesars — one of the most recognizable names in Las Vegas casinos and sports wagering — Rampart is declaring its entry into the Summerlin sportsbook tussle, and that it’s a viable competitor at that.

“Caesars Sportsbook at Rampart Casino will be located on the casino floor in the space currently occupied by the property’s existing sportsbook, with convenient access to parking. As part of the upgrade, guests can also expect an enhanced sports viewing experience with a new video wall and a cutting-edge 360-degree LED video display at the sportsbook bar, designed to provide the ultimate game-day experience,” according to the press release.

Rampart Has Been Sprucing Up

Along with Red Rock, Rampart is considered one of Summerlin’s higher-end gaming venues, and the operator has taken steps to fortify that status. News of the Caesars Sportsbook partnerships arrives nearly a year to the day after Rampart announced a $75 million renovation of the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa located at the property.

As for Caesars, it too could wring benefits from the Rampart partnership, and it’s deploying a familiar playbook. The operator’s William Hill brand runs sportsbooks at several off-Strip casinos. Likewise, some other gaming companies with deep ties to sports wagering have lent their names to Las Vegas locals’ sportsbooks, with Circa Sports being a prime example.

“We know there is pent-up demand in the Summerlin community for the quality and depth of our sports betting product, and Rampart is the perfect partner to reach the sports fans in this area,” said Caesars Digital President Eric Hession in the statement.
