Canadian Gaming: Job Fair

According to media reports, Hard Rock Ottawa is hosting job fair events to fill various positions at the property.

The company is hiring for everything from customer service, table games, marketing, security, slots, retail, surveillance, food and beverage, hotel services, from entry level up to senior managerial roles.

The job fairs are taking place May 6, 7 and 22 at the Rideau Carleton Casino. A spokesperson from Hard Rock told CTV News to expect an announcement about an opening date for the hotel and casino soon.

Hard Rock, founded as a London cafe in 1971 that traded meals for guitars signed by rock royalty, now has a repository of over 88,000 pieces of music memorabilia. Some of the artifacts will be on display around the new Ottawa facility.

Announcement About Casino Opening Soon

The Rideau Carleton Casino & Raceway – one of Ottawa’s oldest entertainment venues – is being renovated into the hotel and casino destination.

Phase One of the $350 million project opening this spring will feature a 150-room luxury hotel with 22 suites, the Hard Rock Live theatre, with 1,800 seats, and an expanded casino footprint with 1,500 slot machines, 40 table games, a separate Baccarat room and high-limit slots. There will be ten restaurants and bars under Hard Rock’s musical theme. That will be led by the iconic guitar statue near the hotel entrance.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa announced an alliance with the Ottawa Charge of the Professional Women’s Hockey League in February, where Hard Rock becomes the team’s exclusive brick-and-mortar casino partner.

This is more than a new casino. It’s a catalyst for growth that will ripple across tourism, entertainment, and employment,” said Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe.
