Canadian gaming: Fennica Jumps In

The license, granted by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, means Fennica, a subsidiary of the Finnish National Lottery, can now introduce its portfolio of games to online and land-based operators across the province.

“We are thrilled to receive our B2B supplier license in Ontario and to offer our advanced gaming solutions to operators in the region,” said Timo Kiiskinen, Managing Director of Fennica Gaming.

Source: Potential for More Ontario Market Growth

We have followed the market in North America for a long time and Ontario is an excellent example of a market that is well organized. It represents an exciting market with immense potential, and we are committed to delivering secure, entertaining and trustworthy gaming experiences tailored to local preferences.”

At 50 licensed operators, and a channelization rate to licensed gaming platforms approaching 90%, according to Ipsos studies, Fennica understandably sees Ontario as a key cog in their expansion efforts. Online casino dominates igaming. And a senior industry source told Casino.org he expects more operators to join the market.

Gaming Summit to Feature Cybersecurity Symposium

Details are starting to emerge about the Canadian Gaming Summit, set for June 17-19 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

The event will bring together 3,000 industry professionals, 1,000 operators, 200 affiliates, 150 expert speakers and 75 exhibitors.

A new addition this year will be a Cybersecurity Symposium, tackling digital threats impacting Canada’s gaming industry.
