Aristocrat Brings First $2M Dragon Link Slots to Venetian Las Vegas

A new iteration of Aristocrat Gaming’s beloved Dragon Link slot machines is coming to the Venetian Las Vegas and it could be a life-changer for some lucky bettors.

The Australia-based gaming device maker announced today that the first Dragon Link slots with a maximum jackpot of $2 million debuted at the Venetian and the Palazzo. Both Las Vegas Strip casinos are already homes to the $1 million version of the game.

Players at both properties can choose from Dragon Link Genghis Khan™ and Dragon Link Peace and Long Life™. Both appear on the MarsX™ Upright cabinet by Aristocrat Gaming,” according to a statement issued by Aristocrat.

Not surprisingly, the $2 million Dragon Link machines will join their $1 million brethren in high-limit areas. At the Venetian, that’s the High-Limit Slots Salon and at the Palazzo, the slots are located in the high-limit gaming lounge. Versions of the game with lower maximum jackpots are found on the main floors of the two casinos.

Venetian Dragon Link Slots Won’t Be Cheap

While slot jackpots can change winners’ lives on par with winning the lottery, the financial commitment to the former is significantly steeper than the latter.

Las Vegas and other casino markets often turn up stories of bettors hitting big paydays on slot machines for a matter of pennies, but other gaming devices with massive payout potential have steep costs of admission. Earlier this year, a Caesars Palace Las Vegas patron won $165K and then $545K on a Dragon Link machine, but each of that bettor’s spins was to the tune of $2,500.

Conversely, most state lottery tickets cost just $1, while Mega Millions and Powerball charge $2 per entry. Mega Millions tickets are going up to $5 next April.

Aristocrat’s press release announcing the debut of the $2 million Dragon Link slots at Venetian Palazzo didn’t say how much maximum credit bets will cost, but it can be inferred each play will be steep because of the potential payouts and the location of the machines in high-limit rooms.

Dragon Link Has Slot Star Power

Comparing inanimate objects to celebrities is a stretch, but some reach that status. Think Apple’s iPhone and some other consumer electronics. In the gaming world, a case can be made that Dragon Link is close to the slots equivalent of the iPhone in terms of popularity and star power.

Already one of the most acclaimed slot machines in the world, Dragon Link has a devoted following among bettors and has invited competition from rivals that have been brushed back due to legal issues.

“Dragon Link is one of the most popular and award-winning slot games in the world. Most recently, the game was named the Top Performing Proprietary Branded Game in the 2023 EKG Awards,” added Aristocrat in the statement.
