John Mayer has added three dates to his 2027 Sphere residency, bringing the run to a Vegas-lucky 21 shows. The new dates—June 9, 11 and 12—were announced Tuesday following sustained demand. Mayer initially announced six dates in September before expanding the engagement, titled “Solo + Full Band + John Mayer Trio.” The residency now runs April 8 through June 12, 2027.

Mayer’s Sphere production is built around three formats: a solo segment, a full‑band set, and a revival of the John Mayer Trio with drummer Steve Jordan and bassist Pino Palladino. Jordan currently plays with the Rolling Stones and Palladino with The Who. Both have supported Mayer’s larger touring band.
This is Mayer’s first solo headlining residency at Sphere, following his run there with Dead & Company, whose 48‑show “Dead Forever: Live at Sphere” engagement (May 2024–May 2025) was named Pollstar’s “2025 Residency of the Year.”
Tickets for the newly added Sphere nights go on sale 10 a.m. PT Friday, Oct. 16 at Ticketmaster.com, with an artist presale at 10 a.m. PT Wednesday, Oct. 14 via johnmayer.com. Fans who previously registered for presale access can use their existing codes for the new dates. Early‑weekend shows are already deep into Ticketmaster Verified Resale, where lower‑level seats hover around $3,500 and upper‑level entry prices sit near $400.
Another Dude Known for Trios
Caesars Palace announced on Tuesday (Oct. 13) that Sting will launch a new residency next year at the Colosseum. The 17-time Grammy Award winner will play 11 shows at the house Celine built, all in 2027: March 4, 6, 7, 10, and 12, and Oct. 14, 16, 17, 20, 22, and 23.

Though the name of the residency, “Sting 3.0,” suggests the iconic tenor’s third Vegas residency, it’s really his second. “My Songs,” an earlier Colosseum commitment, saw him perform 22 shows between 2021 and 2023.
Before that, Sting only made occasional tour stops on the Strip, such as his one-off at the Colosseum on his 2011 “Back to Bass” tour. He had been offered residencies before “My Songs,” but he always turned them down.
“I always thought, ‘I’m not quite ready for that. I’m still a touring animal,’” he said in an interview with The Associated Press in 2019. “Now I’m ready.”
“Sting 3.0” actually refers to his return to a three-piece band (aka what he refers to as Chapter 3 of his career, following his little stint with the Police and then a 40-year solo career).
The 75-year-old singer will be joined by lead guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas—though concertgoers can certainly think of another trio involving Sting that would generate even more hype.
Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. PT Saturday, Oct. 17 via Ticketmaster. Sting.com fan club members gain presale access starting Wednesday, Oct. 14, with Caesars Rewards and Live Nation presales following on Thursday, Oct. 15.
