VEGAS MUSIC NEWS: Caesars Palace Books Mötley Crüe, J-Lo Vegas Residency to Air on TV

Key Points

  • Mötley Crüe will perform an eight-date "Carnival of Sins" at Caesars Palace next spring
  • The band follows Def Leppard as only the second heavy metal act to perform a Colosseum residency
  • Jennifer Lopez’s final Caesars Palace residency performance will air nationally on CBS-TV as a Thanksgiving concert special

Mötley Crüe will become only the second heavy metal act to play Caesars Palace in the casino’s 60-year history next spring, when it returns to Las Vegas with its new “Carnival of Sins” residency. The eight dates will be March 19, 20, 24, 26, 27, and 31; and April 2 and 3.

Metal may seem an odd fit for the theater that Celine Dion built. But Def Leppard already tore down that barrier with its residency there this February. Before that, metal acts tended to book The Joint at the old Hard Rock Hotel or the Zappos (now PH) Theater at Planet Hollywood—which is where Def Leppard themselves performed their prior 2013 and 2019 Sin City runs before moving to Caesars Palace.

Singer Vince Neil, bassist Nikki Sixx, drummer Tommy Lee and now-permanent Mick Mars replacement John 5 band announced the run on Monday (Oct. 19) with a horror‑themed teaser featuring a clown narrator, echoing the aesthetic of its 2006 live album of the same name. The new production is billed as a high‑impact showcase built around fan‑voted favorites, deeper cuts resurfacing after decades, and the group’s trademark spectacle.

Timed to coincide with a 45-year anniversary CD box set called Too Fast for Love, this Vegas residency will be the Crüe’s fourth. It follows runs in 2012 and 2013 at The Joint and in 2025 at Dolby Live at Park MGM, which had to be postponed after Neil suffered a stroke on Christmas Day 2024.

Presales will begin at 10 a.m. PT Tuesday (Oct. 20) for members of the S.I.N. Club and Citi cardholders. Caesars Rewards members and Live Nation customers will gain access at 10 a.m. PT Thursday (Oct. 22), with the public on‑sale opening 10 a.m. PT Friday (Oct. 23) at ticketmaster.com/MotleyCrueVegas.

J-Lo’s Thanksgiving Leftovers

Jennifer Lopez’s Las Vegas residency will air nationally this Thanksgiving when CBS premieres The JLO Show: Live in Las Vegas, a concert film capturing the final night of her 12‑show run at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The broadcast is set for Thursday (Nov. 26) at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with an extended version streaming exclusively on Paramount+.

The residency was structured as four acts—“I’ll See You in My Dreams,” “Tales from Manhattan,” “Kiss Kiss, Kill Kill,” and “Shall We Dance”—with a setlist spanning more than two decades. Performances included “Waiting for Tonight,” “Jenny from the Block,” “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” “Get Right,” “On the Floor,” and “Let’s Get Loud.”

Lopez opened the residency—staged with a full orchestra, vocal ensemble, and 16 dancers—on Dec. 30, 2025. The televised version documents closing night (March 28, 2026), blending performance with autobiographical narration.
