VEGAS DINING NEWS: Sam’s Town Debuts Gastropub, Master Kim’s Coming to Palace Station

Sam’s Town has added an elevated gastropub, called STG (Sam’s Town Gastropub) Bar & Grill, to bring an upscale bar scene to the property.

The venue includes a full-service restaurant serving classic American comfort food, a 21-seat bar, and a 14-seat private dining room. It’s a house-owned dining concept, similar to Bailiwick at the Orleans and 90 Ninety at Suncoast. Boyd plans to roll out STG locations across multiple properties, including the Fremont Hotel and Aliante.

Master Kim’s Wagyu House will open soon at Palace Station. It will mark the brand’s fourth Las Vegas location — and its first inside a casino. The restaurant offers an all‑you‑can‑eat format ($29.95-$42.95) with conveyor‑belt service and robot servers. Despite its meat‑forward identity, the chain is also known for strong vegan and vegetarian options. Palace Station’s website only says: “Coming Soon!”

Hot Dog on a Stick is headed to downtown’s Plaza Hotel, according to Vital Vegas, who was the first to report that the once-ubiquitous indoor mall brand was recently purchased for $8 million by Stephen Siegel’s Amazing Brands, which also owns Piero’s Italian Cuisine, Pinkbox Doughnuts, and Bagelmania.

St. Felix Sin City, the restaurant and lounge that opened in December 2025 at the Bend mixed-use center in Southwest Las Vegas, closed in late June. It was a sequel to the St. Felix that thrived in West Hollywood for 15 years before closing in 2023.

Dark Moon Coffee Roasters of Henderson and Smash and Slice of Silverado Ranch are teaming to open Giddy Up. The morning‑focused concept will serve coffee drinks and breakfast burritos in the former SkinnyFats space at 6261 Dean Martin Drive, just south of Allegiant Stadium.

Méraki Greek Grill, one of Vegas’ most popular fast‑casual Mediterranean spots, has opened in the Arts District at 1551 S. Commerce St., Suite 110. The modern Greek chain debuted in 2017 on South Rainbow Boulevard and later expanded to Summerlin, Blue Diamond, Centennial Hills, and Henderson, with a second Henderson restaurant on the way.

Health to Pay

K Ssam Bap — a Korean restaurant that opened in the mini-mall at 3909 W Sahara Ave. earlier this year– was closed by the Southern Nevada Health District after a routine inspection on June 23, 2026 uncovered 17 health violations resulting in 53 demerits.

Chiang Mai Thai Bistro — located in the Commercial Center at 953 E Sahara Ave E14- E16 – was closed during a routine inspection on June 29, 2026 that uncovered 15 health violations resulting in 41 demerits.
