Turning Stone Resort Casino has unveiled The Crescent, a 258-room luxury hotel that marks the first completed phase of the tribal destination’s $400 million expansion.

The Crescent is expected to become Turning Stone’s third AAA Four Diamond hotel, joining The Tower and The Lodge. Such designations from AAA must pass unannounced inspections, meeting cleaning, style, service, and amenity standards.
Tribal officials say The Crescent offers refined guestrooms with modern textures, furniture, and lavish amenities. Nightly room rates at The Crescent start at $315 before taxes. Turning Stone does not charge a resort fee.
The resort’s fourth on-property hotel, The Crescent includes access to Turning Stone’s Las Vegas-style casino with 2,000 slot machines, 66 table games, three bingo halls, the largest poker room in New York, and a sportsbook.
The Crescent also brings Turning Stone another fine-dining restaurant in Salt. Spanning the entirety of the seventh floor, Salt blends land and sea. Salt comes from James Beard-nominated chef and restaurateur Elizabeth Blau, whose company is behind Honey Salt and Buddy V’s in Las Vegas.
The Crescent is connected to Turning Stone’s many other amenities, including more than two dozen restaurants and bars, a full-service spa and wellness center, retail shopping, live entertainment, and 54 holes of championship golf.
Convention Epicenter
Announced in 2023, Turning Stone is amid a $400 million expansion, with the bulk of the investment geared towards making the tribal resort the Northeast’s premier destination for large-scale conventions and business gatherings.
Originally billed at $370 million, higher construction materials and labor costs have swelled the project to $400 million. Turning Stone is building a 77K-square-foot addition to its current convention space and constructing a 30K-square-foot ballroom overlooking the Shenandoah Golf Course and The Lodge’s Great Lawn.
“As we prepare to become New York’s largest meetings and conventions resort destination, it was essential that we elevated every aspect of the Turning Stone experience,” said Ray Halbritter, Oneida Indian Nation Representative and CEO of Turning Stone Enterprises.
“The Crescent and Salt reflect our commitment to delivering a level of luxury and hospitality that rivals the finest destinations in the world.”
Over his more than three decades of leadership, Halbritter has overseen Turning Stone’s growth from a bingo hall and RV park into one of the nation’s largest casino resorts.
In addition to The Crescent and new convention facilities, the $400 million capital project includes refreshing Turning Stone’s 825 other hotel rooms.
Project Eyes Labor Day 2026 Completion
Turning Stone hopes to complete the $400 million project by this fall, with the Labor Day holiday weekend targeted.
Joel Barkin, Turning Stone’s communications spokesperson, says excitement for the new Turning Stone is palpable. Barkin reports that The Crescent has already sold 12,000 room nights and the resort has tentative bookings for the new event spaces.
