  • Accor is the largest hospitality company in Europe and the sixth largest worldwide

Treasure Island will become the first Las Vegas Strip property with a hotel operated by Accor. The French multinational hospitality company announced the partnership on Wednesday morning with Treasure Island owner Phil Ruffin.

Currently branded as a Raddison Hotel, the 2,884-key property, opened by Steve Wynn in 1993,  will rebrand later this year as Treasure Island — TI Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, Handwritten Collection, according to the franchise agreement.

Treasure Island has long held a special place in the story of Las Vegas, and I am certain that Accor and Handwritten Collection will further enrich its legacy and attract new generations of guests and visitors,” said Ruffin in a statement. “This next chapter brings new energy to the resort while preserving its unmistakable spirit.”

The agreement includes Handwritten Collection brand support and Accor’s full services, including sales and marketing, distribution, and loyalty (the ALL Accor loyalty program).

Treasure Island will become only the second Handwritten Collection property in the US – following Stratford San Francisco, Handwritten Collection last year — and will join more than 25 existing Handwritten Collection hotels and more than 35 in the pipeline.

“We are incredibly proud to partner with Mr. Ruffin and confident that together we can create a bigger and bolder future for this iconic hotel now that it sits within the Handwritten Collection portfolio and part of the Accor network,” Accor global chief development officer Camil Yazbeck said in a statement.

Treasure Island features a 90K square-foot gaming floor and more than a dozen bars, lounges, and restaurants, including Phil’s Steak House, Golden Circle Sports Bar, and Gilley’s Saloon.

Accor S.A. is the largest hospitality company in Europe and the sixth largest worldwide, operating over 5,600 hotels across 110+ countries with brands like Raffles, Fairmont, Sofitel, and Novotel. Headquartered in Issy-les-Moulineaux, France, Accor also runs digital hospitality services and event organizations, with a focus on sustainability and diverse offerings from budget to luxury.

Pointless - get it? Useless in the USA. Just a way for TI to avoid having to pay out value for points, as… Pointless - get it? Useless in the USA. Just a way for TI to avoid having to pay out value for points, as they will never get cashed in.
