Roof Fire at Sahara Las Vegas

A fire broke out on the second-story roof of the Sahara casino resort on the Las Vegas Strip on Tuesday and was quickly extinguished by Clark County firefighters.

At 5:05 p.m., the Clark County Fire Department (CCFD) responded to a fire call at the Sahara Las Vegas at 2535 S. Las Vegas Blvd.

The first CCFD crews arrived at 5:09 p.m. to find construction debris burning. The fire was quickly extinguished. Las Vegas Fire & Rescue also responded, since the Sahara is on the border of Clark County and the City of Las Vegas. A total of 48 personnel responded.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
