  • A mysterious YouTuber named Bubbaflubba has re-created the Strip in jaw-dropping digital detail
  • Strangely, he mispronounces one of the key casino resorts, suggesting he has never actually visited the town he’s making himself famous for digitally re-creating.

A Minecraft player has digitally built almost the entire Las Vegas Strip in the game. Bubbaflubba has spent the past eight years digitally re-creating the exteriors of the world’s most famous block at 1:1 scale, and has documented most of his progress on his YouTube channel for his 82K subscribers.

The only photo Bubbaflubba has shared of his recent work shows the Strip looking Southward from the Flamingo to Mandalay Bay — is on display. (Image: Reddit/@Bubbaflubba_)

Bubbaflubba is part of an elite tier of Minecraft creators who turn the game’s sandbox into jaw-dropping art, often sharing progress pics that make fans beg for downloadable maps or server access. (No word yet on if he’ll fully deliver on that.)

Minecraft involves placing blocks, tweaking designs, and troubleshooting in a game where every detail is manual. Mapping a real-world place like the Strip — down to recognizable features like the Bellagio fountains, all proportioned to fit Minecraft’s blocky aesthetic — isn’t just slapping down some cubes.

It’s math, spatial awareness, and an expert grasp of the game’s tools.

“I’ve spent thousands of hours trying to create every small detail from the real-life Las Vegas into this world,” Bubbaflubba says in one of his videos, explaining that Allegiant Stadium alone took him 100 hours to research and create.

Beyond Vegas, Bubbaflubba’s already tackled other real-world wonders including the Taj Mahal, the Sydney Opera House, and the Florence Cathedral.

He may not be a solo builder, however. Fan discussions about his work suggest knowledge that he works with a team of about 16 people.

What’s His Game?

Strangely, though @Bubbaflubba is meticulous in his attention to detail, some obvious detail has escaped him. His latest YouTube video, which shows him reconstructing Harrah’s Hotel & Casino, suggests that he may not be as obsessed with Las Vegas as he is simply with digitally recreating it.

Bubbaflubba identified the Caesars Entertainment property as being on the North Strip (it’s dead center) and pronounced it “ha-RAHZ” (as in multiple “hurrah” chants).

That makes us wonder if he’s ever actually been to the town he’s attempting to make himself famous for virtually re-creating.

Outside of his builds, Bubbaflubba is a bit of a mystery, providing no name or personal backstory. Casino.org left him a comment requesting an interview. So far, he hasn’t replied. If he’s receptive, we’ll run a Q&A.
