- Paris Las Vegas is allowing guests to gamble on the room type they’ll receive
- The “Luck of the Draw” comes with possible upgrades
- It’s unclear if Caesars plans to expand the promo to other Strip casinos
A new trend might be emerging in Las Vegas that is seemingly tailored for the many millions of guests who flock to Sin City each year to test their luck.

Paris Las Vegas recently rolled out a new option on its online booking platform that allows guests to leave their room type to chance. Dubbed the “Luck of the Draw,” the rate choice allows overnight visitors to secure the Strip property’s best rate by leaving the room selection to chance.
Feeling lucky?” the option asks. “Secure our best rates by leaving the selection of your room type to chance. Room assignments will vary by number of beds, view, size, and other amenities. Preferences are left to chance and cannot be guaranteed. Accommodations are based upon availability and are subject to change.”
For a three-night stay Sept. 4-7, the “Luck of the Draw” option advertises a nightly rate of $233, inclusive of the $55 a night resort fee but before taxes.
The reservation’s element of chance could result in the guest being afforded an upgrade to a room like a Bordeaux Calais Suite, which has 860 square feet compared to Paris’ standard room measuring 390 square feet. A Bordeaux Calais room for the same three nights averages $437 a night.
Gamblers Like to Gamble, After All
According to the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority’s 2024 Visitor Profile, nearly four in five visitors last year gambled at some point during their stay. With Las Vegas most famed for its casinos, it might make sense for a resort to get the games of chance underway even before the guest arrives in town with the room draw option.
Casino.org reached out to multiple public relations and communications employees with Caesars Entertainment for further information on the Paris “Luck of the Draw” promo. We wonder if Caesars might roll out the promotion to other Strip resorts. Currently, only Paris has such a room booking choice. Caesars did not respond to our requests for comment.
Paris Las Vegas has 3,670 hotel rooms and suites. It offers the most occupancies of any Caesars property on the Strip aside from Caesars Palace at 3,980 rooms. The Flamingo is the only other Caesars Strip resort with more than 3,000 rooms.
In 2024, Caesars’ Las Vegas casinos reported a hotel occupancy rate of 97.5%, with room sales generating more than $1.4 billion in revenue. Caesars includes comped and discounted rooms in its hotel occupancy calculation.
In its financial disclosures and annual report, Caesars does not break down room occupancy by property but instead bundles its Strip casinos into a category called the “Las Vegas Segment.”
Paris Expansion
Paris wasn’t always Caesars Entertainment’s second-largest casino hotel on the Las Vegas Strip.
When it opened on Sept. 1, 1999, Paris had fewer than 3,000 hotel rooms. It expanded to its current allotment of 3,670 rooms after Caesars rebranded Bally’s Las Vegas to Horseshoe and renovated and rebranded the Bally’s Jubilee Tower to the Versailles Tower and annexed it to become part of Paris.
Paris has long targeted the middle-class clientele. While other casino resorts that opened around the time, including The Venetian Resort and Bellagio, catered to more affluent guests, Paris has remained affordable compared with the Strip’s more high-end destinations.

I am in process of switching my loyalty from MGM to Caesars, so this article really helps me understand the Caesars properties. Thank you. MGM just got too stingy with their Tire Credits. They have made it almost impossible for a middle-class customer to reach the higher levels.
Even if expanded to every Caesars' property, this would be a pass for me.
