President Trump’s money managers conducted more than 1,100 equity transactions in July, including a modest sale of Caesars Entertainment (NASDAQ: CZR) stock.

The president’s most recent financial disclosure indicates his financial representatives bought and sold between $79 million and $270 million worth of hundreds of stocks across 1,156 transactions in the seventh month of the year.
Compared to the president’s past financial disclosures, the July update was modestly lighter on gaming stocks, though it included a July 29 sale of Caesars valued at $1,001 to $15,000. On their disclosure forms, politicians are required to give a dollar range that a stock purchase or sale was valued at, not a precise dollar amount.
Politicians, including the president, aren’t required to divulge why they buy and sell stocks, but in the case of Trump selling a small stake in Caesars, it may be as simple as the fact that the stock has traded sideways for months following news that the company is being acquired. Interestingly, the buyer is Tilman Fertitta’s Fertitta Entertainment Inc. (FEI). Fertitta serves as Trump’s ambassador to Italy and San Marino.
Trump’s Other Gaming Trades
Trump, himself a former casino operator, transacted in a couple of gaming stocks in July. The financial disclosure indicates that on July 29, his financial advisors sold between $15,001 and $50,000 of Rush Street Interactive (NYSE: RSI) shares.
That sale occurred on a day in which the iGaming stock gapped down despite the gaming company reporting solid second-quarter results and again boosting its 2026 financial outlook. Trump’s money managers proved prescient in selling that stock because it’s traded lower since then, sliding 17.75% over the past month and now residing 38.55% below its 52-week high.
The president’s other gaming-related equity divestment in July occurred on July 8 when his money team unloaded $1,001 to $15,000 worth of VICI Properties (NYSE: VICI) stock. VICI is the largest gaming real estate investment trust (REIT) and the president knows something about real estate, but it’s not clear if that played a role in that specific transaction.
VICI is also the largest owner of casino real estate on the Las Vegas Strip where it owns Caesars Palace and the Venetian, among other marquee venues. The stock is down 14.72% year-to-date, though the company raised its dividend earlier this month.
Speaking of the Strip…
Trump transacted in another Las Vegas Strip stock in July, though it wasn’t a casino. On July 8, his money managers sold $15,001 to $50,000 worth of Sphere Entertainment (NYSE: SPHR) shares. That stock is up 49.25% year-to-date.
Sphere CEO Thomas Dolan, who’s also the owner of the New York Knicks, has been friends with the president for over three decades.
