- Thunder Valley Casino Resort has opened the Studio, a catered private VIP lounge for groups attending concerts at the property’s performance space, the Venue
- The self-contained space offers amenities including shuffleboard and gaming stations
- Reservations are required and prices are tied to the expected demand for specific touring acts
Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, Calif., has opened a private lounge for groups attending performances at its 4,500‑seat concert hall. The new space, called the Studio, is designed for visitors who want a separate gathering area while watching concerts at the Venue, the 150,000‑square‑foot hall debuted by the tribal resort in 2023.

The Studio is outfitted with shuffleboard, video‑gaming stations, and high‑definition TVs, and offers catered food and beverage service. General manager Dawn Clayton said the addition broadens the property’s entertainment‑night offerings, telling industry outlet Indian Gaming that the lounge “creates an entirely new VIP entertainment experience.”
Since opening its $100 million concert hall — which replaced the property’s long-running Outdoor Amphitheater — Thunder Valley has become a regular stop for touring acts including the Eagles, Bruno Mars, and Santana. Upcoming shows include the Jonas Brothers on May 29, 2026, and Bob Dylan on June 12, 2026.
(A Long) Thunder Road
Thunder Valley opened in June 2003 as a new build developed by the United Auburn Indian Community in partnership with Station Casinos, which managed it until July 2011, when the tribe assumed full control.
The resort has expanded several times since — most notably with a 17‑story, 297‑room hotel tower in 2010 and a $56 million gaming‑floor expansion completed in 2019.
With roughly 3,500 slot machines and 89 table games spanning over 250,000 square feet, it remains one of the largest gaming operations in Northern California. (Lincoln is about 30 miles northeast of Sacramento.)
The Studio is available for private celebrations, corporate gatherings and client entertainment, with access limited to select shows and private bookings. Thunder Valley uses flexible pricing that varies by performer and expected demand rather than a fixed rate structure.
Neither of the Studio’s square footage, or its capacity, were disclosed in marketing materials.
Guests must be at least 21 to enter, and all uses of the space require reservations.
