The group behind Reno Pro Soccer has unveiled a development to construct a mixed-use stadium complex at the former Jones West Ford auto dealership site along Kietzke Lane just east of the Atlantis Casino Resort.

On Tuesday, Reno Pro Soccer revealed its plans to build a 6,000-seat soccer stadium with a 301-room hotel and casino on the 29-acre property. The blueprint includes the former auto dealership and a retail strip mall that currently houses a Dollar Tree, Grocery Outlet, and Savers.
This project is about building something lasting for our community. It’s by locals, for locals, a place where people can come together to celebrate, connect, and experience the best of Reno year-round,” said Reno Pro Soccer Co-Founder and CEO Wendy Damonte.
The first phase of the development, should the project’s application filed with the city be approved, includes the soccer stadium, the hotel and casino, and a “family-focused entertainment venue” that will introduce new experiences to Reno.
Boutique Casino
Reno Pro Soccer is slated to begin play in the United Soccer League in 2027. The USL is a men’s professional soccer league and a second tier of the United States league system behind Major League Soccer.
Reno Pro Soccer is already accepting season ticket deposits for its inaugural season at renoprosoccer.com.
Reno businessman Dean DiLullo and his M1Gaming is set to run the Reno Pro Soccer casino. The soccer franchise says the casino will be a “small-establishment casino experience with gaming and sportsbook amenities.”
The stadium hotel and casino will include more than 1,200 parking spots and “flexible community spaces for events, meetings, and gatherings.” The destination will additionally feature an array of restaurants and bars, along with retail shopping.
Reno Pro Soccer summarizes the initiative as a “cohesive, walkable district designed to complement the surrounding neighborhood while introducing new, high-quality experiences.”
The project is billed as a $350 million undertaking, with the goal of bringing a USL Championship to Northern Nevada. Reno was home to the USL Reno 1868 FC for five years, running from 2015 through 2020.
Reno Renovations
Developers remain bullish on “The Biggest Little City in the World.” The soccer complex is one of several major developments in Reno, Nevada’s third-most populous city behind Las Vegas and Henderson.
The former Harrah’s Reno is reportedly being bought, with plans to convert the former casino hotel into a mixed-use property. The Meruelo Group continues its $1 billion investment at the Grand Sierra Resort, which will elevate Reno as a sports destination with the Reno Arena, a $435 million sports venue. And Jacobs Entertainment continues its development of the J Resort, the former Sands Regency, and its so-called Neon Line.
