  • A three-day Las Vegas package, which promised mystery gifts and activations galore for fans of MrBeast, delivered mostly a gut punch to the reputation of YouTube’s most popular vlogger
  • Fans received only chintzy gifts and MrBeast was a no-show
  • Eventually, all attendees were refunded, but only after raising a beast of a stink with the CEO of Resorts World

Rage is the experience that most followers of the MrBeast YouTube channel got after paying $1,000 each for “The MrBeast Experience.”

The three-day package, which took place from Sunday through Tuesday at Resorts World Las Vegas and included lodging, was advertised on the Resorts World website as an “unforgettable” experience featuring “a series of on-site activations at select restaurants on the property, treating guests to an immersive experience.”

They got the “unforgettable” part right.

MrBeast, a native of Greenville, NC,  is the most popular vlogger on YouTube. He earned 385 million subscribers by organizing extravagant giveaways, philanthropic endeavors, and large-scale challenge videos.  In 2022, Forbes estimated his net worth at $500 million. (Image: Instagram)

Fans of MrBeast, known at the DMV as Jimmy Donaldson, expected meet-and-greets with their idol, photo ops, and games similar to those streamed on the MrBeast YouTube channel.

Instead, they got one box of chocolates and one bag of low-quality MrBeast merch delivered to their hotel rooms.

One lucky guest was supposed to receive a $10K gift voucher, though it’s not clear whether that ever happened.

MrBeast never even bothered showing up.

“If Jimmy is part of this, I hope he feels good for scamming a whole bunch of adults and their children,” Abigail Marquez, an attendee who traveled from LA, told KLAS-TV/Las Vegas. “That’s how you get subscribers? Cool.”

Belly of the Beast

During the event, both Resorts World and MrBeast wiped all mentions of it from their social media accounts and websites.

On the last day of the so-called experience, a crowd of at least 30 furious fans gathered in the lobby, demanding refunds.

Resorts World CEO Alex Dixon reportedly showed up armed with donuts and apologies, but no immediate refunds. Instead, he offered $50 food and beverage credits.

“Hey! This definitely isn’t the experience we hoped they’d deliver,” Donaldson responded on X on Tuesday evening. “My team’s already on it — I’d love to personally make it up to you and anyone else by inviting everybody affected to tour my actual studio! Can’t wait to meet you all, and my team is reaching out to everyone.”

On Wednesday, only after several news outlets ran stories about the fiasco, Resorts World informed attendees by email that the entire cost of their packages would be refunded.

Beastly Sequel

This is the second MrBeast event that has given his reputation a black eye in Las Vegas.

In August 2024, Donaldson faced allegations of mistreating contestants on his “Beast Games” Amazon Prime reality competition series, which filmed a scene at Allegiant Stadium.

Last September, Donaldson and others were smacked with a class-action lawsuit filed by five female contestants in the Las Vegas scenes. They alleged mistreatment, sexual harassment, and unpaid expenses and wages. That case is still pending.
