Drake landed in Australia on Wednesday where he’ll perform 14 shows in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane between February 4 and March 7. His trip to Oceania additionally includes two shows in New Zealand.

Drake, a prolific gambler who’s sponsored by the popular online gaming platform Stake, is staying at Crown Melbourne while in Victoria. The hip-hop superstar is reportedly in the casino’s Presidential Villa, which costs a staggering $25K a night and comes with private butlers, limo service, a private gym, and many other amenities.
Soon after arriving Down Under, Drake and his entourage ventured to the Crown casino where the rapper claims to have won $700K. In a video shared to his Instagram account, Drake flaunted a stack of casino chips while dancing in an elevator. He captioned the video, “700k for lunch.”
Drake later posted a photograph of his crew dining at Nobu, the chain of posh Japanese restaurants that Crown Resorts held a 20% stake in until last year.
Drake’s Sports Bets
Next Tuesday, Drake will officially kick off The Anita Max Win Tour.
The seventh concert tour for the Canadian-born rapper, Drake’s title for the Australia and New Zealand tour is a pun on the gambling phrase, “I need a max win.” Drake first introduced the character Anita Max during a live stream on Kick in December 2023.
Drake is a habitual gambler who often plays online and shows off his wins, but unlike many other bettors and sports gamblers on social media, the celebrity also doesn’t shy away from sharing his losses. Drake had been on a losing streak until arriving at Crown Melbourne.
In June, Drake lost $500K on the Dallas Mavericks falling to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. Drake is a superfan of the NBA and his beloved Toronto Raptors. In August, Drake lost a $450K bet on Israel Adesanya winning UFC 305 in Perth against Dricus du Plessis. The fight took place at RAC Arena where Drake will perform next Tuesday and Wednesday.
In November, Drake lost $355K betting that Mike Tyson would upset Jake Paul in their highly publicized Netflix fight.
Drake’s fortunes began to change this month when he risked $210K on the Baltimore Ravens beating the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL wildcard round. Drake netted a $420K profit by including an anytime touchdown score by Ravens QB Lamar Jackson.
All of Drake’s bets were placed on Stake.
Drake Video Deleted
Moments after Drake showed off his alleged $700K win at Crown Melbourne, the rapper posted another video showing him with $25K in gaming chips with the caption, “Melbourne giving me the welcome back pack. Finally, a casino showing love in Australia.” The video, however, was deleted moments later.
Drake will presumably soon share how much he’s betting on Super Bowl LIX. The two-time defending champion Kansas City Chiefs are favored by 1.5 points over the Philadelphia Eagles. The over/under is at 49.5 points and the moneyline is Chiefs -125, Eagles +105.
