According to The Las Vegas Review-Journal, Malissa Danielle Miles claims she was “violently assaulted” near the bathroom of the Off The Strip Bistro & Bar on June 8, 2023. Two women she didn’t know struck her in the face and slammed her into a wall, the lawsuit claims, resulting in permanent injuries, including a traumatic brain injury.

Miles’ lawsuit was filed on Monday in Clark County District Court against the Off The Strip Bistro & Bar and its co-owner and operator, Andrew Belmonti. Also named were Caesars Entertainment and its Linq Hotel, where Miles’ suit said she was observed after the attack but ignored by “untrained, ill-equipped” security staffers while wandering “visibly bloodied and disoriented.”

“Rather than contacting emergency medical services or securing the premises to prevent further harm, Defendants’ agents and employees allowed Plaintiff — who was clearly suffering from cognitive impairment and trauma — to wander through the casino premises in a confused and unassisted state,” the lawsuit stated.

Miles seeks general damages of more than $15K, special damages to be determined at trial, interest at the statutory rate, attorney’s fees, and court costs.

In addition to the Linq Hotel, Caesars Entertainment also owned the Linq Promenade during the time of the alleged incident. It sold the dining and retail plaza in December 2024 to its current owner (a joint venture formed between TPG Real Estate and the Investment Management Platform of Acadia Realty Trust) for $275 million.
