Britney Spears Fans Concerned for Singer’s Wellbeing Following Split From Boyfriend

Former pop superstar and Las Vegas Strip mainstay Britney Spears is once again reportedly in turmoil after splitting from her boyfriend for a second time.

The troubled singer, 43, has her fans worried after sharing a series of strange videos and messages on social media. Spears took to Instagram in a live video where she ranted about “fake friends” and criticism about her looks.

Spears, who was released from a 13-year conservatorship in 2021, lashed out in a since-deleted Instagram post claiming criticism about her mental and physical well-being is shameful.

I feel sorry for you guys,” Spears said in the clip. “I thought my hair was beautiful.”

TMZ reported that Spears broke up with Paul Soliz for a second time on Valentine’s Day. But this time is permanent, with Soliz reportedly moving out his things from her Los Angeles home.

Vegas Headliner 

Spears called Las Vegas home for much of 2013 through 2017 where she performed her residency at Planet Hollywood. The headlining Strip show, called “Britney: Piece of Me,” marked a comeback for the singer after years of chaos and scandal.

She regularly sold out the Planet Hollywood theater. During her four-year run at the Caesars property, Spears performed 248 shows, selling approximately 916K tickets to generate a gross box office handle of almost $138 million. Her residency ranks sixth in Las Vegas history in terms of all-time ticket sales.

Fans who missed out on Spears’ time in Las Vegas likely missed out for good. Spears hasn’t performed since 2019, and last year, she wrote on Instagram that she “will never return to the music industry.”

Pushing forward in my music career is not my focus. It’s time for me not to be someone who other people want — it’s time to actually find myself,” Spears said in January 2024.

Spears has been back to Vegas, however, as Casino.org reported last May that she trashed her casino hotel room at Wynn Las Vegas. Spears and Soliz reportedly paid “tens of thousands of dollars” to cover significant damage in the Wynn suite they occupied in December 2023.

“Britney is out of control,” TMZ reported at the time.

Bizarre Video

Spears’ since-deleted Instagram post this week was accompanied by a video in which the singer seems disoriented, nonsensical, and speaks at times with a British accent.

Britney captioned the video by suggesting that she’s currently barred from visiting Mexico. She stated that she was battling a cold.

I do have a cold and it has affected my voice. And I have been held back from going to Mexico for four months and since flying and traveling is the main thing for my health and wellbeing, I do have a small virus. But just like the comments and people who said they were my best friend, it’s people like them who are so jealous, they will do anything to keep me from living my life and in my highest manner,” Spears wrote.

“I feel sorry for people like that. Hopefully, we can all be kind to one another,” Spears concluded.
