Kenny Chesney has confirmed what we told you Wednesday — that he will be the first act to take the Vegas Sphere country. He will perform 12 shows from May 22 through June 14.

“When we started talking about all of the possibilities playing Sphere offered, I was all in,” Chesney said in a statement. “Just the idea of 4D technology and the impossibly dialed in sound raises the experience for No Shoes Nation, literally immersing them in music, visuals, sound and being together. To me, this is going to be a whole new way of rocking the fans, and I can’t wait.”

Chesney’s Sphere dates are May 22, 24, 25, 28, 30, and 31, and June 4, 6, 7, 11, 13, 14.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. PT on January 31 at KennyChesney.com. Presale info is available here.

According to a press release, Chesney and his team kept the residency under wraps for nearly a year as they worked with the Sphere’s tech team to tailor the globular marvel to highlight the country singer’s catalog.

Chesney’s “Sun Goes Down Tour” serenaded nearly 51K fans per stadium performance last year — second only in country music to Morgan Wallen’s 54,500.

The Sphere has a seating capacity of 17,500 for concerts, indicating that ticket demand will far outstrip supply.

From 2010 to 2015, Chesney headlined 18 shows at The Joint at the former Hard Rock Hotel.
