Sebastian Maniscalco will call Atlantic City his temporary home later this year for a casino residency.

On Monday, the Chicago native announced an eight-show residency at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City. One of the most popular standup comedians, Sebastian will take the Ovation Hall stage in September 2025 for what will likely be eight sold-out engagements.

Maniscalco returns his “It Ain’t Right” tour to the East Coast gaming capital after he sold out several shows last year at the Borgata. For 2025, the comedian known for his impeccable timing, relatable anecdotes, and distinctive physicality is moving to the Atlantic City Boardwalk.

The response to this tour has been nothing short of incredible — the crowds have been electric, and the energy is just through the roof,” said Maniscalco. “We’re gearing up to bring you even more on the second leg, and I can’t wait to get back out there.”

Maniscalco, 51, has been called the “hottest comic in America” by The New York Times. He’s also among the hardest working, performing around a hundred shows a year.

With his blending of observational humor and his unique take on everyday life, Maniscalco resonates with audiences of all ages, prompting the need for multiple shows at most tour stops. 

Atlantic City Comedy

Ocean Casino Resort, among the most lavish casinos in town, is billing Maniscalco as “the biggest comedian in the history of Atlantic City.” The comedian’s short residency runs from Sept. 18 through 28, 2025.

Ocean Casino reps said the resort will feature a variety of exciting on-site “experiences and activations” related to Maniscalco’s eight shows and two weekends.

What’s a Casino Residency?

The concept of casino residencies dates back decades to Las Vegas.

Las Vegas residencies were once sort of looked down upon by current acts on the belief that washed-up, older acts were calling the Strip home to make a final buck. That thinking has changed in recent years after artists certainly still relevant in the mainstream music industry, including Adele, Britney Spears, U2, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, and Elton John, ran Las Vegas residencies.

Most Las Vegas insiders say a minimum of 10 shows is needed for an engagement to be considered a residency. We’re being a bit lenient with Maniscalco’s Atlantic City gig, though it’s likely that additional performances could be added once ticket sales begin.

Maniscalco is also performing in Las Vegas, with four shows set for May 24-25 at Wynn. Those tickets are currently on sale on Ticketmaster. Tickets start at $73.35, which comes to $107.95 after Ticketmaster tacks on a $23 service fee for the mobile tickets, a $5 processing fee, and taxes of $6.60.
