The prediction market giant announced the debut of the Trust & Safety Center, which will serve as a one-stop shop where traders can learn about Polymarket trading rules and customer protection protocols.

“The center will bring together information on user protections, market integrity and other Trust & Safety initiatives across Polymarket’s U.S. and international platforms, including community guidelines and content moderation standards covering market comments, chat, Squads, profiles and the Polymarket Discord,” according to a statement issued by the company.

Reportedly valued at $20 billion, privately held Polymarket said more resources will be added to the Trust & Safety Center over time.

Deposit Limits, Self-Exclusion

As gaming companies have done in the past, Polymarket also introduced deposit limits and self-exclusion guardrails for traders who feel as though they may be getting carried with event contracts.

Polymarket clients considering self-exclusion have several options from which to choose, spanning temporary cooling-off periods up to lifetime halts.

“These tools give users greater control over their activity on Polymarket. Traders can voluntarily exclude themselves from the platform for periods ranging from 30 days to one year to a lifetime,” according to the statement. “U.S. users can also set daily, weekly or monthly deposit limits across all funding methods. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately, while raising or removing one requires a cooling-off period.”

Polymarket, which recently went live in the U.S., accepts deposits in a variety of ways, including Apple Pay, bank transfers, credit and debit cards and cryptocurrency.

Mental Health in Focus, Too

At a time when some experts and advocacy groups argue that betting and prediction market trading is taking a mental toll on bettors, particularly young men, also said it’s teaming up with Birches Health, a major provider of addiction treatment services, to improve mental health resources for its traders.

Birches Health provides clinical assessments, ongoing recovery plans and virtual care to patients in all 50 states.

“Polymarket is also developing educational materials to help participants better understand responsible trading and the tools available to manage their activity, including a co-branded Trading Responsibly guide, which also includes a four-question self-check to help users identify when it may be time to seek additional support,” concludes the prediction market operator.
