The man who allegedly tossed gasoline onto the casino floor at Binion’s Gambling Hall remains in jail.

Jonathan Luna, 30, was charged with making a terrorist threat and domestic battery for last Friday’s incident at the Las Vegas gaming property.
Gasoline in Milk Jug
Shortly before the incident, Luna allegedly sent out a video to someone which showed him “filling up [a] milk jug … with gasoline,” according to Las Vegas TV station KLAS.
Luna also “made statements about setting Binion’s Hotel on fire,” a witness told Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) officers, KLAS reported.
After pouring the gasoline, Luna and a woman left the casino and made their way toward Fremont Street, witnesses told LVMPD officers.
Threatened Pedestrians
While on Fremont Street, Luna allegedly threatened pedestrians. He was holding a knife and screwdriver at the time, police said.
He was apprehended near the intersection of Main Street and Bonanza Road, police said.
No one appeared to have been injured either at Binion’s or on Fremont Street.
There’s no word if the gasoline damaged the casino floor at Binion’s.
Binion’s Gambling Hall & Hotel is located at the Fremont Street Experience.
On Saturday, Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Daniel Westmeyer set Luna’s bail at $50K for the incident at Binion’s. Luna was booked at the Clark County Detention Center also on Saturday. He was still behind bars on Thursday. His next court date is on February 19.
If he posts bond and gets released, the judge ordered him to wear a monitoring bracelet.
Last week’s incident may relate to Luna’s earlier arrest in January for alleged domestic violence, KLAS reported. He was jailed for the prior incident and later was released.
In 2023, Luna also was arrested for burglary. In a plea deal, he pleaded guilty to attempted burglary of a business. He later was sentenced to six months in jail by Clark County District Court Judge Monica Trujillo. That burglary appears to be unrelated to the more recent incidents.
Luna told officers he sometimes blacks out, KLAS reported.
It’s unclear if the woman who was with Luna at Binion’s also was arrested. She wasn’t identified in local news reports.
