UFC CEO Dana White wants to leverage the league’s relationship with Netflix to get the streaming entertainment giant to produce a one-off live special in which he’d wager $1 million per hand at a to-be-determined Las Vegas casino.

The betting would likely be on baccarat — White’s game of choice. He mentioned the idea of a “me versus the house” Netflix special in a recent interview on Andrew Schulz’s “Flagrant “podcast, saying a casino should give him $30 million in credit to potentially make the Netflix broadcast come to life.

You come in like a title fight, and it’s me versus them,” said White in the interview. “They show all the odds on why they should win, I should win, and we go one night, a million a hand. We do a Netflix show like we did for the Canelo vs. Crawford fight.”

White told Schulz he’s on a hot streak, having not had a losing trip to a casino since early September, and that may be enough for many Las Vegas gaming venues to not take the bait on the Netflix pitch.

$1 Million a Hand Unlikely at Las Vegas Casinos

Urban lore indicates that if any Las Vegas casino were to indulge White’s demands for $1 million per hand play, he would have already played at that level.

There are also regulatory considerations, including the stipulation that bets not exceed $500K per hand in Las Vegas. Those are among the reasons why White has long been devoted to Caesars and MGM Resorts International’s Bellagio — venues that allow him to play as much as $350K and $400K, respectively, per hand.

Depending on the estimate, White’s net worth is $500 million to $600 million, indicating he could take a $30 million pinch. He’s known to play at select off-Strip casinos as well, but it’s not clear if those properties would take his action on par with what Caesars and Bellagio allow, let alone ratchet it up to $1 million per hand.

Where White Might Need to Go

Even with the free notoriety that would come along with a Netflix special, it’s unlikely that any US casino will take White’s action at $1 million per hand, but that doesn’t mean hope is lost for the gambler. He might have to look to Asia to make it happen.

There have been rumors that a limited number of the highest-end casinos in Macau have previously allowed some VIPs to bet $1 million per hand.

A source also told Casino.org that Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa — Singapore’s two integrated resorts — will accept bets of $500K per hand, though it’s not clear if either venue has allowed patrons to venture into seven-figure territory.
