For many fans, a cold beer is part of the matchday ritual. But at some World Cup stadiums, the pre-match pint may come with a serious price tag.

As mentioned earlier, San Francisco Bay Area Stadium has the most expensive beer of the World Cup tournament at $21.50. Based on a 16 fl oz pint and an average of 32 sips per pint, that’s roughly $0.67 per sip! Philadelphia Stadium follows in 2nd with a beer cost of $18.58, while Los Angeles Stadium comes in at 3rd at $18.50Kansas City and Boston also make the top five, with beers costing $18.39 and $18

World Cup concession prices have risen nearly sixfold since 2014

While the World Cup has always been a bucket-list experience for soccer fans, the price of eating and drinking inside the stadium has increased dramatically since Brazil 2014.

Looking at core concession staples (not including signature dish) – classic gameday meal, beer, snack, and water bottle – the average matchday bill has climbed from $6.56 in 2014 to $38.51 in 2026.

That’s a 487% increase, meaning fans are now paying nearly 6x more for the same basic stadium essentials. Even when adjusted for inflation, the same 2014 basket would cost around $9.31 today, meaning 2026 World Cup fans are still paying roughly 314% more than expected based on general price rises alone.

Beer has seen the steepest rise, increasing from $1.93 in 2014 to $16.28 in 2026, marking a 843% increaseClassic game day meals, such as hot dogs, tacos, or burgers, have also jumped from $1.93 to $9.68, an increase of 502%.

Snacks have climbed from $1.54 to $6.89, while bottled water has risen from $1.16 to $5.66.

While a beautiful game may be priceless to fans, the concessions definitely aren’t.

How much do World Cup concessions cost altogether in 2026?

Across all 16 host stadiums, the average concession bill comes to $60.97 per person, when including one classic meal, one signature dish, one beer, one snack, and one bottle of water.

The price difference between stadiums is huge. Fans in Miami will spend $78.50 more than fans in Atlanta for a similar matchday food and drink experience.

Methodology

In July 2026, we looked at the current average costs of essential concession items at each World Cup stadium.

For each of the 16 FIFA World Cup host stadiums, we analyzed the cost of:

  • One classic game day meal, such as a hot dog, taco, or hamburger
  • One signature stadium dish designated for the World Cup
  • One domestic beer
  • One snack, such as chips or nuts
  • One bottle of water

The combined cost of these items was used to calculate each stadium’s total concession cost and final ranking.

To compare the 2026 prices with previous tournaments, we also reviewed historical concession pricing from the 2014, 2018, and 2022 World Cups (where available). The historical price increase analysis focuses on the core concession staples with comparable data: a classic meal, domestic beer, snack, and bottled water.

All prices were converted to USD where necessary.
