Flamingo Rumors: Gordon Ramsay Burger, Vanderpump Pushing Bird Bar Out

There are lots of changes in the works for Flamingo, despite persistent rumors Caesars Entertainment is likely to sell the Strip casino in the not-too-distant future.

The juiciest rumor we’ve heard? That chef Gordon Ramsay is expanding his Las Vegas empire yet again, this time with another Gordon Ramsay Burger.

While we did not write this story as an excuse to have A.I. create an image of Ramsay biting into a burger, we are certainly not mad about the results.

A.I. is brilliant because it renders famous people just different enough to not get sued.

Gordon Ramsay Burger, of course, has been wildly successful at Planet Hollywood, so it makes sense this concept would be exploited further.

The restaurant was originally called BurGR. Get it? “GR” for Gordon Ramsay? Yeah, nobody really got it, so they did a rebrand in 2017.

Gordon Ramsay Burger has about the best burgers on The Strip, with Nusr-Et a close second.

The new Gordon Ramsay restaurant is rumored to be moving into the casino’s Bird Bar space.

Lisa Vanderpump’s third Las Vegas lounge will open at Flamingo as well, taking over the casino’s former poker room and a slushy drink stand.

Bird Bar replaced the 5 O’Clock Somewhere bar, and has never really caught on, despite a fairly incredible location overlooking The Strip.

They tried.

The first Vanderpump lounge was at Caesars Palace, another opened at Paris, both are doing surprisingly well.

Caesars Entertainment is fond of these celebrity partnerships. Caesars food and beverage operates the venues, the celebrity gets five percent of the gross, repeat.

The most profitable partnership has been with Gordon Ramsay. We lost count at six restaurants: Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, Hell’s Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay Steak, Ramsay’s Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill and Burger. Gordon Ramsay Steak, Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips and Burger are the stand-outs.

Flamingo is also getting a Cuban restaurant, Havana 1957.

We’ll keep our ear to the ground for an official announcement about a new Gordon Ramsay restaurant at Flamingo. Figuratively. We are not putting our ear to the actual ground, as that could cause a fungal infection of the ear canal, which is the last thing you want when you’re trying to hear chef Gordon Ramsay berating the “donkeys” in the kitchen of his new burger joint.

We’re kidding. We love Gordon Ramsay. That whole yelling thing is motivational and a persona for the cameras. Just watch “MasterChef Junior.” Ramsay is a Teddy bear.

Oh, and if this Gordon Ramsay Burger rumor doesn’t pan out, we can’t wait to be part of an idiot sandwich. He was joking, by the way.

More to come!

Update (11/7/23): A previous version of this story stated the Vanderpump lounge would be in the Bird Bar space. Nobody’s perfect, including well-placed sources.

Update (11/21/23): Caesars Entertainment has officially confirmed our scoop. Gordon Ramsay Burger opens at Flamingo in summer 2024.
