Vegas to Host World’s Largest Casino Collectibles Show This Week

- The South Point Casino will host the World’s Largest Casino Chip and Collectibles Show this Thursday through Saturday
- More than 30 dealers will be on hand to evaluate personal collections and buy, sell and trade their own vintage casino items
- Keynote speakers will include Vital Vegas’ Scott Roeben
Ever wonder what those old casino keepsakes you (or your parents or grandparents) took home from Vegas vacations are worth today? The World’s Largest Casino Chip and Collectibles Show returns to Vegas this week to answer that question, and many others. It takes place from Thursday, June 18 through Saturday, June 20 at the South Point Casino.
While the more than 30 veteran casino memorabilia dealers that the 33rd annual show will gather in Exhibit Hall D can’t offer formal appraisals, they can provide informal evaluations and, in many cases, make offers on the spot.
Organized by the Casino Collectibles Association, the exhibition showcases its own large cross‑section of casino history — vintage slot machines, chips and tokens, playing cards, dice, matchbooks, ashtrays, menus, postcards, table felt, and signage from long-demolished or dramatically transformed Las Vegas properties.
Many items will be available for sale or trade.
In addition to the showroom floor, attendees can preview 235 lots of rare chips and memorabilia going up for both silent and live auction. The silent auction runs on the show floor, while the live auction — also streamed online — takes place at 7 p.m. June 18 in the Joshua Room. Both auctions are open to the public, but lot preview and silent auction bidding requires Thursday admission to the show floor.

Vital Seminar
Four free educational seminars will also be held in the adjacent Joshua Room. This year’s speakers include Casino.org’s own Vital Vegas blogger Scott Roeben:
- June 18, 8 a.m.: Aaron Berger, executive director and CEO of The Neon Museum, discusses how the museum’s preserved neon signs help tell the story of Las Vegas’ evolution
- June 18, 3 p.m.: Scott Roeben, founder of Vital Vegas, breaks down the forces reshaping the modern gaming experience and what visitors can expect as the casino industry’s business model marches toward electronic gaming.
- June 19, 8 a.m.: Charles Kaplan, chairman of the Casino Collectibles Association’s Museum of Gaming History and administrator of the ChipGuide database, will offer an inside look at documenting casino artifacts.
- June 19, 3 p.m.: Jami Rodman, author of The Las Vegas Madam and founder of Las Vegas Guided Tours, will present a history‑driven session about Block 16, the city’s former red‑light district, and how immersive research brings its stories to life.
Show hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. June 18 (admission $10), 9 a.m.-4 p.m. June 19 (admission $5) and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. June 20 (admission free).
