VEGAS MUSIC NEWS: Oasis Definitely a Maybe for Allegiant, Scorpions Cancel Residency

Coverage originating from Britian’s The Sun claims that rivaling siblings Noel and Liam Gallagher are eyeing a multi-continent “Oasis Live ’27” tour that would play North American stadiums — including “a string of” Allegiant Stadium dates — this coming summer.

Noel, 59, teased the group’s plans during a window free of major international football tournaments, telling Britian’s talkSPORT podcast last week: “Well, let’s put it this way: there’s no football tournament next year, so we’ve got to do something in the summer, right?”

He stopped short of naming cities.

Historically, when Oasis has performed in Las Vegas, they played intimate spaces rather than arenas: the House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay on Sept. 15, 2005, during their “Don’t Believe the Truth” tour, and The Joint at the former Hard Rock Hotel on May 11, 2001, co-headlining “The Tour of Brotherly Love” alongside the Black Crowes.

Scorpions Residency Delay Stings

The German hard rockers announced the postponement of their eight-show residency at Planet Hollywood, slated from Sept. 17-Oct. 3 — in addition to all other 2026 tour dates — citing only mysterious “unforeseen circumstances.”

A statement posted Live Nation’s Las Vegas Instagram account locked in new dates that delay the “Coming Come — 60 Years of Scorpions” residency by an entire year: Sept. 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23 and 25, 2027. The statement did not include an apology to fans who planned an entire Vegas vacation around the concerts.

The delay also impacts three Mexican tour dates originally scheduled for September 2026, which have been shifted to late August and early September 2027. These adjustments follow a turbulent touring cycle earlier in the year that saw the group — founded by rhythm guitarist Rudolf Schenker in 1965 and fronted by iconic vocalist Klaus Meine since 1969 — scrap a planned four-date run in India due to unspecified medical issues within the band before successfully navigating a six-week European festival and arena trek.
