Ambassador Tilman Fertitta is attempting to sell his 252-foot superyacht, the “Boardwalk,” for $192 million to make way for a 384-foot vessel.

The Boardwalk name doesn’t reference the Atlantic City Boardwalk, which is home to one of Fertitta’s Golden Nugget casinos. Rather, the name is derived from the Kemah Boardwalk, which is a Fertitta-owned tourist attraction in the Texas town of the same name. Florida-based Y.Co confirmed the billionaire’s Dutch-built ship will be available to bidders at the Monaco Yacht Show.

Delivered by the shipyard Feadship, the 76.5m motor yacht Boardwalk showcases the expert naval architecture and exterior design of De Voogt. Her innovative layout includes a spacious forward tender garage on the main deck, capable of housing two luxurious tenders, combining practicality with seamless style,” according to the broker.

Fertitta’s listed mega yacht can accommodate 14 guests and 22 crew. It features seven cabins, including VIP space, a helipad, pool, and spa and is said to be in “immaculate condition.” The US ambassador to Italy and San Marino is the original owner of the vessel.

Fertitta Yach Affinity Well-Known

Fertitta has a well-documented love of plush yachts. In fact, he had been living on the Boardwalk for months prior to moving into Villa Taverna, the official residence of the United States ambassador to Italy, in early August.

He’s also leveraged the Boardwalk and perhaps another vessel for extra personal liquidity. His financial disclosures required as part of his confirmation process show a 2019 secured yacht loan of $50 million from Bank of America and another loan secured by a ship in the same amount incurred in 2024 from Deutsche Bank. Fertitta can afford those bills as he’s worth an estimated $10.5 billion.

His top assets were listed as Fertitta Entertainment, Wynn Resorts (NASDAQ: WYNN), and DraftKings (NASDAQ: DKNG). He’s the largest shareholder in Wynn and is major owner of DraftKings common stock by way of that company buying Golden Nugget Online Gaming (GNOG) in 2022.

During his time as ambassador to Italy, Fertitta is not involved in the day-to-day operations of his namesake entertainment conglomerate, which is the owner of the Golden Nugget casinos.

Expensive Yachts a Fertitta Family Affair

Tilman isn’t the only Fertitta with an affinity for traversing in the open sees in style. His third cousin Frank Fertitta III previously owned the $175 million Viva, also produced by Feadship. That mega yacht was sold to hedge fund billionaire Ken Griffin.

Fertitta, the chairman and chief executive officer of Red Rock Resorts (NASDAQ: RRR), now has another version of the Viva that measures 308 feet and cost $250 million.
