Steffi Graf’s Brother Apparently Living in Las Vegas Homeless Tunnels Amid Arrest Warrant

Key Points

  • Michael Graf, the younger brother of tennis legend Steffi Graf, is reportedly living in the flood-control tunnels beneath the Las Vegas Strip
  • Graf has an active bench warrant after failing to appear for a court hearing following a trespassing case
  • His recent social media livestreams from the underground tunnels include erratic statements regarding a purported past altercation with his brother-in-law, Andre Agassi

Michael Graf—younger brother of tennis icon Steffi Graf—appears to be living in the flood‑control tunnels beneath the Las Vegas Strip following a warrant issued for his arrest. According to court records, the 55‑year‑old failed to appear at a hearing connected to a misdemeanor trespassing case, triggering the warrant earlier this year.

In recent weeks, Graf has posted a series of unsettling Facebook videos and livestreams from the tunnels. Some show him visibly disheveled, speaking erratically into the camera while wandering around the tunnels’ familiar graffitied walls.

The tunnels were built in the 1970s to divert floodwater beneath the Strip, which before that was prone to flooding during heavy rains. Over the decades, the tunnels became a refuge for the unhoused, due to the protection they offer from the brutal summer heat and police who don’t allow sleeping on Strip sidewalks.

Outreach groups estimate that between 1,000 and 1,500 people reside in them.

Before the tunnels, Michael reportedly had been living in a tent near Lake Mead, according to local reporting. This is corroborated by his Facebook account, which shows him narrating footage shot exclusively at the lake until June 2026.

Graf’s online postings began after a misdemeanor trespassing charge resulted in a court order to avoid further trouble. However, on March 12, he was arrested for DUI in Boulder City, near Lake Mead, according to Nevada court records cited by the New York Post.

When he failed to appear for a subsequent hearing on March 26, a bench warrant was issued—and remains active.

Problems with Andre?

Though Michael’s rambling words are difficult to decipher due to poor audio quality, Britain’s The Sun reports that one of the videos features him discussing his strained relationship with his famous brother‑in‑law.

According to The Sun, Michael describes a physical altercation in bizarre detail that involved “pinching” Andre Agassi’s chest and “pirate moves.”

Born in Germany, Michael Graf moved to Las Vegas around 2001, around the same time his famous sister did with Agassi. While Steffi Graf is one of the most decorated athletes in tennis history, most of Michael’s life has been spent in her shadow.

A search for his name in Getty Images produced only photos of Michael watching his sister compete in tennis tournaments decades ago, often alongside their parents.
