Powerball Numbers for Aug. 10 Drawing Sidestep Players as Jackpot Nears $1B

Key Points

  • Powerball's jackpot has climbed to an estimated $975 million for the Aug. 12 drawing—the 44th in the current run—after no ticket matched all six numbers
  • The prize is nearing the $1 billion mark, a threshold Powerball has only crossed seven times, most recently in Dec. 2025
  • Powerball officials noted ticket sales fund public programs in the states (and now the UK, since a July expansion)

The Powerball numbers for the Monday (Aug. 10) drawing were 6, 37, 54, 55, 64, and red Powerball 10. The Power Play landed on 3X.

In the 43rd drawing in the current jackpot run, last night’s numbers once again dodged players, as no ticket matched all six drawn numbers.

The Powerball jackpot hasn’t hit since May 2, when two tickets split the game’s minimum $20 million top prize. The jackpot was only at $20 million because two tickets, sold in Indiana and Kansas, matched all six numbers in the previous drawing on April 29 to share a $143 million rollover.

While no ticket hit the jackpot last night, Stephen Durrell, the chair of the Powerball Product Group and executive director of the Kansas Lottery, reminded players that every ticket sold provides funding for the various programs that state lotteries support.

“This is the most exciting jackpot run we’ve seen all year, but it’s also important to remember that every $2 Powerball ticket purchased helps support public programs and services. Because a portion of each ticket sold stays where it was purchased, the benefits of Powerball are felt in communities across the country and around the world,” Durrell said.

Durrell’s “around the world” comment comes after Powerball expanded to the United Kingdom beginning with the July 22 drawing.

Powerball Jackpot Nears $1B

Powerball will next be drawn on Wednesday (Aug. 12), which will mark the 44th drawing in the jackpot run. As the game’s top prizes elude players, the jackpot has rolled over to an estimated $975 million, with the cash option at $422.3 million.

Only seven times has the Powerball jackpot climbed upwards of $1 billion, the last coming on Dec. 24, 2025, when a ticket sold in Arkansas won a $1.817 billion top prize.

The brother of North Little Rock Mayor Terry Hartwick was later identified as the winner, as Arkansas Lottery rules require relatives of elected officials to make their identity public.

The odds of a ticket matching the Powerball jackpot are 1 in more than 292.2 million.

For a visual representation of what those odds look like, The Wall Street Journal has a webpage with 292,201,338 dots, representing all of the possible number combinations. The webpage depicts just how tiny one’s odds are of winning the jackpot.

Powerball jackpot odds remain constant at 1 in 292.2 million, but the chances of the jackpot hitting increase as the top prize grows. That’s because more players purchase tickets, therefore covering more of the possible 292.2 million unique number combinations.

Monday Results

The Powerball numbers for last night’s drawing produced a single Match 5 + Power Play winner who claimed $2 million. Two other Match 5 tickets matched the five white balls but not the red Powerball to claim $1 million each.

Fourteen plays matched four white balls and the Powerball with the Power Play to take home $150,000 apiece. Another 30 tickets that hit the Match 4 + PB won $50,000 because they skipped the Power Play that landed on 3X.
