Guerrero Jr. will support Betway’s efforts to promote responsible gambling by helping raise awareness of the tools, resources, and principles that encourage individuals to bet and gamble safely, responsibly, and within their personal limits.

I’m pleased to team up with Super Group to support Responsible Gambling initiatives that matter,” said Guerrero Jr. in a statement. “Helping people understand how to enjoy betting safely, with balance and the right tools, is something I’m proud to be part of.”

A Betway responsible gambling television ad featuring Guerrero Jr. is now appearing on sports broadcasts in Ontario.

We are thrilled to team up with Vladimir to promote responsible gambling,” said Neal Menashe, Chief Executive Officer of Super Group. “His influence, integrity, and connection with fans make him an ideal figure to help amplify the importance of safe and responsible play. This collaboration supports our global commitment to ensuring that customer protection is embedded in everything we do.”

Guerrero Jr. joins an elite global roster of Betway ambassadors that includes French football icon Thierry Henry, Real Madrid legend Guti, and former South African cricket captain Graeme Smith.

Perennial MLB All-Star

Guerrero Jr. joined the Blue Jays in 2019 and is a five-time MLB All-Star. He’s currently the leading vote getter for American League first baseman for the All-Star game in Philadelphia in July.

While he has been having a frustrating season on the field so far during the 2026 campaign (just three home runs, with a .726 OPS through 69 games), Guerrero Jr. is still the face of the team and is in the first year of a 13-year, $500 million contract.

Guerrero Jr. is also one of the most popular pro athletes in Toronto, even across the province and the country, where the team draws big Canadian crowds for annual player caravans as well as an annual series in Seattle to play the Mariners.

World Series Run

In 2021, he led Major League Baseball in home runs and was named All-Star Game MVP.

Last season, during the Blue Jays’ memorable playoff run after winning the American League East, all the way to Game 7 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Guerrero Jr. dominated, hitting .397 in 18 games, with eight home runs, and an exemplary 1.289 OPS (on-base percentage plus slugging percentage), a common statistic used to measure a hitter’s overall offensive value.
