After Vegas Weed Misadventure, Howie Mandel Finds Wife in Pool of Blood

Howie Mandel says he found his wife lying in a pool of blood following a cannabis-related fall during a recent Las Vegas trip.

During a February stay at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, the comedian and “America’s Got Talent” co-host told TMZ, his wife, Terry Mandel, went to bed after popping one too many cannabis gummies.

Then she got up at night and took a header into the wall of their hotel room.

He told a fuller version of the story to “Live with Kelly and Mark” on Monday — though he left out the part about the edibles.

We partied,” he told the morning show. “It was too much, and [Terry] was tipsy. I did not know that … and she fell and hit the wainscoting. She hit that as she went down. She slipped, went down, hit that on her eye, then fell on the floor, and broke her cheek.”

The noise woke up Mandel, who famously admits to suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder. When he flicked on the light, he saw a markedly unwelcome sight to someone with a general fear of bad things that are always about to happen.

“You could actually see her skull,” he said. “It opened up. I freaked out.”

Mandel showed the audience a grisly photo of Terry’s face, which revealed bruising and lacerations to her forehead and eye.

“I picked her up, I put her on the bed,” Mandel continued. “There’s blood everywhere. I went and grabbed all the towels, and all the towels are covered with blood. And she’s going ‘Get me ice, get me ice.’ I don’t know where to get ice!”

According to Mandel, he phoned hotel security, asking them to call 911, but they insisted on coming to the room. Security showed up at the door “within a second,” Mandel said.

For some reason, 911 wasn’t called and Mandel recalled driving Terry to the hospital, where she complained of not being able to see out of her left eye.

“The doctor says, ‘Just take the sheet off your face,’” Mandel said.

Fortunately, the story has a happy ending, or Mandel would have recounted it on a show more serious than “Live with Kelly and Mark.”

“She is absolutely perfect,” he said. “There is not a scar. She is beautiful.”
