VEGAS MUSIC NEWS: Janet Extends Stay at Resorts World, Nelly and Lenny News

Janet Jackson’s Resorts World residency won’t wrap on February 15, but will instead return for at least six more dates. Tickets for her May 21, 24, 25, 28, 30, and 31 shows go on sale at 10 a.m. PT Friday, January 17 at the AXOS website. Fans can also register for presale purchases ahead of the on-sale date via AEG Presents.

Janet Jackson debuted her initial 10 shows at the Resorts World Theatre on Dec. 30 and 31, 2024. It’s only the 58-year-old singer’s second Vegas residency, following “Metamorphosis,” which played the Park MGM from May to August of 2019. That 18-date deal grossed around $13 million. Vegas Has Top US Concert Venue

Allegiant Stadium was named the top US entertainment venue of 2024 by Billboard magazine on Monday, in a ranking of gross revenue and attendees. More than 657K fans came to see 15 tours hit the 65K-seat stadium last year, including the Rolling Stones, Billy Joel with Sting, and Pink. The concerts generated $118M in ticket sales, leading all US stadiums.

Worldwide, however, Estadio GNP Seguros Mexico City edged Allegiant out, with $135.3M in gross review and 1.5M attendees. In 2023, GNP ranked third in the world, after Allegiant and LA’s SoFi Stadium.
