This will be the second time O’Malley defends his title, following wins against Aljamain Sterling and Marlon “Chito” Vera.

In addition, UFC 306 will showcase a co-main event featuring flyweight champion Alexa Grasso taking on former titleholder Valentina Shevchenko. Grasso captured his title with a fourth-round submission of Shevchenko last year.

Rounding out the pay-per-view event’s highlights is a rescheduled matchup between two-time featherweight title challenger Brian Ortega and top challenger Diego Lopes.

The bouts will be part of UFC’s celebration of Mexican Independence Day, a promotion dubbed “Riyadh Season Noche UFC” due to a sponsorship deal.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, July 31 via Ticketmaster.com.
