Offset Didn’t Really Shoot His New Video in a Casino

Key Points

  • Offset leaned into recent real-world casino controversies by releasing a new music video he claims was shot in a real casino
  • Analysis reveals it was actually a fabricated set
  • The video serves as a commercial promotion for the Curaçao-based online betting platform 1win

This year, rapper Offset got shot in the valet of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla., clashed with staff during a high-stakes blackjack session at a Paris casino, and faced a roughly $100,000 unpaid credit-line claim from MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit.

So it seemed like a shrewd move for him to lean into the controversy by shooting “Every Night,” his new video with Don Toliver, in the same setting that has repeatedly thrust his name into the headlines.

But while TMZ reported that Offset told them the video was filmed inside a real casino, the visual evidence does not support this.

In the exterior shot, a nondescript casino entrance is shown across a downtown street from another casino, one hanging a custom neon “EVERYNIGHT” sign over a V-shaped portico and scalloped awning that evokes mid-century Las Vegas design. Palm trees and a conventional hotel tower appear in the background.

But none of this matches the look or location of any real casino, past or present.

Indeed, no production records identify a real casino used in the shoot, and the interior felt carries the name “Coral Cay Casino”—a brand that never existed. These details point to a controlled studio backlot, practical set, LED volume stage, or CGI-enhanced environment rather than an actual gaming floor.

Offset’s own statements further blur the line between reality and promotion.

After footage of his Paris casino confrontation circulated, he described it as a staged skit tied to the rollout of his upcoming album GMFU, telling entertainment website The Shade Room that the coverage was “messin up my rollout.”

What is real about the “Every Night” video is that it’s a brazen commercial.

The clip flashes several times to chips emblazoned with the logo of 1win, a Curaçao-based online sports betting and casino company. It then concludes with Offset receiving a briefcase containing a phone with the 1win app open. He then places a bet and smiles as a voiceover encourages viewers to “Play now at 1win.”
