Kalshi May Launch Perks Program Targeting Active Sports Bettors

***Update*** Kalshi issued the following the statement, noting its loyalty program is not solely targeted at sports, but all “loyal traders”: “Similar to other financial markets, brokerages, and large consumer brands, we’re piloting a program that offers priority support and other benefits to some of our most loyal customers.”

  • Signs point to prediction market introducing a host program for select sports bettors
  • Rumor appeared on social media and it appears Kalshi is focusing on sports bettors, not other frequent traders

Kalshi appears to be close to launching a host program focusing on high-volume sports traders that could mirror the rewards plans offered to big bettors by traditional sportsbooks.

The X account @CSP_Trading, which is run by a sports trader, highlighted the Kalshi plan, posting a message received from a staffer of the Kalshi Platinum team. Kalshi hasn’t publicly confirmed the platinum project or that it has a rewards program focusing on high-level sports bettors/traders.

Kalshi appears to be rolling out a ‘Host’ program for high volume sports betting accounts similar to what Draftkings and other casinos offer. Some of the perks mentioned are comped dinners, tickets to sporting events, and free merch,” notes CSP_Trading.

The introductory message from Kalshi employee Adin Smith says the company has been “brainstorming” on ways to better serve “loyal customers.” Kalshi Platinum, though still undisclosed to the public, appears to be the result of that brainstorming.

Kalshi Platinum Appears Focused on Sports Clients

Talk of Kalshi Platinum appears at a time when there’s increasing chatter regarding the ability of prediction markets to source growth outside of sports event contracts — something that’s viewed as critical to the industry’s long-term growth trajectory.

Sports derivatives — football in particular — stoked massive volume increases on prediction markets last year, fostering 11-figure valuations for Kalshi and Polymarket along the way. However, the operators’ embrace of sports event contracts, which critics say makes them comparable to standard sportsbooks, invited a host of legal challenges and regulatory scrutiny.

On that note, it’s interesting that Kalshi Platinum appears to be focused on the platform’s most active sports traders, not clients displaying comparable levels of activity across other markets.

“(I) spoke with a few high volume kalshi traders, almost none of them got invites. it appears to be only the high volume sports traders,” said CSP_Trading in a follow-up tweet.

Kalshi Platinum Could Mirror Sportsbook Offerings

Smith’s email to CSP_Trading notes Kalshi Platinum features a dedicated account rep available 18 hours a day, referral bonuses, and forthcoming perks “as we build out the program.”

For now, it appears as though Kaslhi Platinum is shaping up in fashion comparable to rewards programs offered by traditional sportsbooks to upper-tier clients. As just one example, in late 2024, DraftKings enhanced its Dynasty Rewards customer loyalty program with particular emphasis on VIPs. That included the 2025 Elite Rewards Gifts and Experience Catalog.

Those offerings — accessible to players in Dynasty Rewards’ Diamond and Onyx Tiers — include Apple electronics bundles, Broadway show tickets, high-end watches, and vacations, among other prizes.
