The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) reported that an individual had set several vehicles ablaze with the use of a firearm and Molotov cocktails. The suspect also graffitied the side of the building with the word “resist” in what’s the latest in a number of protests aimed at Tesla facilities.

The incident is reported to have taken place at around 2:45 am at the Tesla repair facility located at 6260 Badura Avenue.

Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren confirmed that Las Vegas police received multiple reports of a fire at the time of the incident.

Upon arrival, officers discovered several vehicles on fire, as well as the word ‘resist’ spray painted on the front doors of the business.” Koren said, “at least five Tesla vehicles were damaged, to include at least two of which were engulfed in flames.”

Video footage shows the suspect was wearing all black as they left the scene.

FBI special agent Spencer Evans suggested that the arson attack may have been an act of terrorism. Speaking at a press briefing, he asked “Was this terrorism? It certainly has all the hallmarks that we might think – you know, the writing on the wall, the potential political agenda, there’s an act of violence. So, none of those factors are lost on us.”

Bondi Vow

Pam Bondi, the United States attorney general spoke to Fox News on Tuesday about the Tesla showrooms being attacked.

She told the broadcaster “If you’re going to touch a Tesla dealership, do anything, you better watch out because we are going to come after you.”

The clip was posted to Musk’s X account following the arson attack in Vegas.

Musk: ‘Why the Hate?’

Elon Musk, the Tesla CEO, labeled the fires an act of “terrorism.”

In a post on Monday on X, he blamed the “woke” left for the backlash he has received since the inauguration of Donald Trump.

“My companies make great products that people love and I’ve never physically hurt anyone. So why the hate and violence against me? Because I am a deadly threat to the woke mind parasite and the humans it controls.”

Koren expressed that the LVMPD and FBI’s investigation is still in the “very early” stages of the process.
