“Expanding into Ontario with Hard Rock Bet marks the first time we’ve brought our platform to an audience outside the U.S.,” said Marlon Goldstein, Executive Managing Director and CEO of Hard Rock Digital.

Hard Rock had been rumoured to be coming to the province for over a year, with Casino.org quoting a senior industry source in May 2025 that the company had applied to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) for an iGaming license.

Ontario Market Keeps Growing

“We’re excited to introduce Ontario players to a premium entertainment experience that reflects the energy and service synonymous with the Hard Rock brand,” said Goldstein. “And by investing in local talent, local partnerships, and localized customer support, we’re creating an experience designed specifically for Ontario players.”

Hard Rock Bet is also live in 10 U.S. sports betting jurisdictions: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia, with online casino available only in Michigan and New Jersey.

First International Expansion

In Ontario, the platform will combine a sports betting offering with an online casino featuring more than 3,000 games, including top slots, table games and live dealer content.

The Ontario launch is connected to the $350 million Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa, which opened its doors in July 2025, a full-service hotel, with 150 guest rooms, including 22 luxury suites. The property has more than 150,000 square feet of entertainment and gaming space, 1,500 slot machines, 40 table games, a high-limit gaming area, and 10 restaurants and bars, including the Hard Rock Café and Council Oak Steaks & Seafood.

Ottawa Casino Connection

“Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa has the reputation of bringing people together for amplified entertainment experiences, and we’re excited to see that spirit extend into the digital space,” said Christine Crump, President of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa.

“The launch of Hard Rock Bet is a natural next step for the Hard Rock brand in Ontario, and we look forward to building on that connection with guests and players over time.”

Hard Rock Bet is available for download via iOS and Android, and can be accessed via desktop at hardrockbet.ca.
