Brian Christopher Unveils New World Cruise Slot Game

YouTube slot influencer Brian Christopher has launched his latest slot, in tandem with Gaming Arts, called World Cruise, and if early reviews are any indication, he thinks he has something that will resonate with casino players.

Over the past week, Christopher hosted world premier launches of the slot, first at Plaza in Las Vegas, on March 27, then at Yaamava Resort & Casino March 28, and Friday and yesterday at Graton Resort & Casino, both in California.

In between events at Graton, Christopher spoke with Casino.org about how the new slot has been received.

“It was wild,” he said, talking about the Las Vegas launch event. He played the game, then his family jumped on. Then the public got to play.

Lots of fans came out. I was live for two hours. Huge audience online – hundreds of thousands of views,” he said. “People are loving the look of the game – super bright, colorful and fun. They love the triple pot game to it, and the rubber duckies are the main stars. The ducks have taken over. I am the captain that steers the ship.”

Las Vegas Launch

Christopher said when he walked into Graton, six of his games were set up and all six were in use.

World Cruise has been in development for nine months. The first game he did with Gaming Arts, Pop’N Pays More! (the second iteration of Pop’N Pays) has been out for three years.

“I am already thinking about a next version of this game, or other new games we can do [with Gaming Arts] because they are really good partners to work with,” he said. “Most of the triple pot games out there, they are already coming out with new versions of them. They’re adding a fourth pot, a fifth pot, or a wheel – there are so many extra things you can do.”

In terms of the new slot, with Christopher at the captain’s wheel, players embark on a gaming adventure featuring three unique free games – Wheel of The World, Stuff Your Face and Dance Till You Drop.

What was really cool is the fact that the game was built from the ground up just for us,” he says. “It wasn’t a reinvention of an old machine. We got to really figure out what we wanted to do with it, and then we got to jump a little bit more into the structure of how it can go. We created three unique bonuses in the game, which is also very different. Our last one only had one bonus. Those are represented by the three ducks.

International-Themed Game

“It’s a very international-themed game – it’s a world cruise, after all. There’s a giant wheel that’s always spinning around, and it shows different landmarks from around the world. I’m originally from Canada, from the Toronto area. If you land the mini, that’s the CN Tower. Other places I’ve cruised to includes Sydney, Australia. So we have the opera house there and other things.”

Triple Pot Slot

There’s a wheel of the world bonus. The players get three spins at the wheel. As the ducks grow, the player can get a boost to those numbers on the wheel.

That’s what’s unique about this slot, Christopher says. It’s not like the ducks just keep growing until they explode and go off and give you the bonus. The bigger they get, the more opportunities you have for boosting your bonus.

“That’s what the wheel of the world does. It boosts the numbers on the wheel to make some of the wins bigger. The middle duck is called the dance till you drop one. That’s the dance till you drop bonus. Again, the bigger it gets, the better the bonus.”

Big Line Hits

Lots of potential for big wins, for big line hits, overall, he added.

People do like volatile games,” he said. “This is a volatile game. You really want to get the bonuses. That’s where the meat is. The good thing is, even though it takes you a long time to get a bonus, like any other game, you see these ducks getting bigger, so you’re okay with the ducks getting bigger, because eventually when you do hit it, it’ll be a bigger bonus. So that keeps you going.”

Little, fun features as well – like smoke coming out of the smokestack on the cruise ship means you are about to hit a bonus. Players can also touch the screen, where the ducks squeak, “like a rubber ducky would.”

“Players think it’s the cutest game ever,” Christopher added. “They are in love with the ducks. The ducks, they steal the show. Our first slot machine was all about Brian. It was all about me, my fans, my sayings. And it was pretty Brian heavy. But this game could be enjoyed by everyone. You don’t have to know who Brian is. You can just think that he’s just the captain of this cruise.

“At the premier at the second casino we were at, everyone was touching the screen. Visually, it’s super appealing, and interactive and fun.”
