BetMGM announced it procured intellectual property rights to use “Family Feud” and “The Price is Right” —  two of the most legendary game shows — on its iGaming platform.

The gaming company landed those rights through an agreement with Fremantle, which creates, distributes, and produces entertainment content. Financial terms of the accord were not disclosed. The game shows will serve as themes for slots, table games, and “non-traditional casino games” on BetMGM.

During select weeks throughout the upcoming seasons, BetMGM will be featured as a sponsor with exclusive, never-before-seen partnership integrations for ‘Family Feud’ and ‘The Price is Right,’” according to a statement. “Throughout 2025 BetMGM and Fremantle will reveal additional details on these planned partnership activations.”

Today, just seven states — Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and West Virginia — allow internet casinos. That number could increase this year as roughly 10 states, maybe more, could consider iGaming legislation.

‘Family Feud,’ ‘Price is Right’ Could Boost BetMGM Slots

Game shows and slot machines have long made for an ideal pairing in land-based casinos. For example, International Game Technology’s “Wheel of Fortune” slots are among the most popular gaming machines in a slew of casinos across the country.

“Wheel of Fortune” slot machines are beloved by bettors because some versions of the game include the potential for massive payouts. Over the years, the game has delivered a slew of six- and seven-figure awards to bettors in Las Vegas, and at regional and tribal casinos.

So it’s possible that BetMGM is onto something by bringing “Family Feud” and “The Price is Right” to its online slots customers. The former has been on the air since 1976 with the original version produced by Mark Goodson — the producer of iconic game shows, including “The Price Is Right.” Steve Harvey has hosted the “Feud” since 2010.

“The Price is Right” has been around even longer. It originally debuted in 1956 before being refreshed in 1972 with host Bob Barker. He hosted what is now the longest-running game show in history until 2007. Actor Drew Carey took the reins of the show later that year.

BetMGM Could Tap New iGaming Demographic

The average age of an iGaming bettor is 34 years old, according to Scaleo, and many of those players access online casinos via mobile devices. By leveraging “Family Feud” and “The Price is Right”, it’s possible BetMGM could access a new demographic.

The average game show viewer is 65 years old, according to Nielsen, and that group is more evenly divided among men and women whereas the typical iGaming customer is three times as likely to be male than female.

“Family Feud” and “The Price is Right” join BetMGM’s internet casino menu, which “is home to over 3,500 titles across North American markets and one of the largest state-by-state exclusive jackpot networks,” according to the statement.
