Get Paid $5,000 to Eat Your Way Through Vegas’ Spookiest Buffets
Summarize this post
Got a killer appetite? Not afraid of the dark or the supernatural? We might have the perfect dream job for you.
This Halloween, we’re looking for one brave foodie to take on what could be the spookiest (and tastiest) job in Vegas.
We’ll pay one lucky foodie $5,000 to become our official Vegas “’Boo’ffet” Inspector, visiting and reviewing a selection of buffets inside of Vegas’ casino resorts rumored or alleged to have spooky stories attached to them.

But think less Ghostbuster, more plate-busters. No EMF meters, seances, or wandering dark hotel corridors required.
You’ll visit each location just like any other buffet customer, grab a plate (or three), and possibly sit in a suitable eerie corner (if you dare), and tell us whether the experience is frightfully good or better left for dead.
Hungry for the job? Keep reading.
How to apply
All you need to do is fill out the form below! If selected, we’ll cover your roundtrip travel, weekend accommodations, and pay you $5,000 to take on some of the spookiest all-you-can-eat buffets.
Please note that the winner will be selected at random.
The ‘Boo’ffet Inspector role
Your job is simple: eat, rate, and get into the Halloween spirit.
The chosen winner will be given a list of Vegas buffets to visit, all located inside casino resorts that have been linked to rumors, legends, or alleged spooky stories.
Before each visit, we’ll fill you in on the spooky tale associated with the place. Then it’s over to you to grab a plate, find a suitable eerie spot to sit at the buffet, and put both the food and atmosphere to the test.
At each stop, you’ll complete our official Boo’ffet Scorecard, rating things like:
- Fright bite: What was the most to-die-for dish? Which bite would you come back from the dead for?
- Dead or delicious: Score the overall food quality out of 10. Frightfully good or better left buried?
- Monster portions: Did the buffet live up to Vegas expectations when it came to portion sizes and choice?
- Dessert to die for: Crown the best sweet treat on offer. Bonus points if you went back for seconds!
- Bang for your boo: Was the buffet worth the price, or did the bill give you the biggest scare of the night?
- Scare factor: Did the atmosphere give you goosebumps, or was it more feast than fright?
- Boo log: Did you hear a strange noise? Get an unexplained chill? Spot something out of the corner of your eye?
Once you’ve eaten your way through the list, you’ll help us crown the one stop ultimate Vegas Boo’ffet.
Unfortunately (or fortunately), spotting an actual ghost isn’t part of the job description this year. These are rumored and alleged spooky stories after all.
However, if your only supernatural encounter is a dessert that mysteriously disappears from your plate, we’ll still consider the job done.
Important dates and information
Entries open from 12pm ET on October 1st, 2026 and close on 11:59PM ET on October 31st, 2026. Only US applicants aged 21+ can apply.

We’ll work around the chosen winner’s schedule, as long as you fly out and complete the dream job by December 20th, 2026.
Upon acceptance, the winner will initially receive the first installment of the cash prize ($2,500 of the $5,000).
