Classic blackjack is the traditional version of the game. Your goal is to beat the dealer by getting as close to 21 as possible without going over. You receive two cards to start and can choose to hit, stand, double down, or split pairs. This version is widely available at online casinos and usually uses multiple decks.
In American blackjack, the dealer receives two cards at the start of each round, with one face up and one face down. The core blackjack rules remain the same, but the extra bets give you more chances to win during each round.
Free Bet Blackjack allows you to make certain moves without using your own chips. In many versions, you can double down or split pairs using free chips provided by the game. While this increases the value of strong hands, some rules are adjusted to balance the advantage, such as pushes when the dealer busts in certain situations.
Quantum Blackjack from Playtech adds random multipliers that can boost your potential winnings. Before each round begins, the game assigns multipliers to specific card values. If you’re dealt one of these cards, the multiplier applies to your winning bets. However, if the dealer busts with exactly three cards, your bets will push instead of paying out.

- LSR: Late surrender. You can surrender your hand, only losing half of your bet when the dealer gets a non-natural blackjack (21).
- O/U: You can bet over and under thirteen
- RSA: You can re-split Aces
- S17: The dealer must stand on soft 17 (stick on 17).

Bust: If the total of your cards exceeds 21 then you are said to have “bust” and your hand is folded and your bet is lost. The dealer can also bust under the same circumstances.Hit: Whenever you draw a new card to add to your hand you are said to “hit”.Insurance: Insurance is a side bet, of up to half your original bet and can be made when the dealer's "upcard" is an ace.
